Hey Guys :),

I am currently in the middle of the process of downloading the game, but I have watched numerous gameplay videos, and read all the information on the PWI wiki, and on the PWI home page, and I am either going to be running a Cleric or Mystic. But I just want to know a few answers that I couldn't find...

1.) Is there raiding in this game?

2.) Are there dungeons/instances?

3.) Updated frequently?

4.) What is the max number of people you can have in your group?

Thanks again guys and if you have any tips I would greatly appreciate it. :)

You have dungeons called instances that you go in at lvls 19,29,39,51,59,69,79, and so far up. At lvl 40 you will go into specific dungeons to kill a boss and go back to the city to get a good amount of exp, which makes questing obsolete at that point mainly. TW or territory war is the large battles over lands, but tbh... TW is kinda dominated by whoever spends the most real money :(. There is a 6 person squad limit. Alot of updates, mainly items from teh cash shop (which you spend real money). Hope this gives you some help!b:bye

1)Not really. There are some World Bosses that are often done raid-style at higher levels, but that's about it. TW is a bit like a PvP raid, but eh.

2)Yes. Some of them are required to gain new skills (ie. cultivation requirements), and some are just for quests or for leveling.

3)Sorta. There is maintenence every few weeks, which requires a small update, but usually nothing major. We are about to get an expansion though, of which there have been several.

    4)6 players max per squad.
Things said during a Twizted faction PK session:
Slayer_of_Souls: you guys are such suck ups. none of you have attacked twid.
Twiddzly(fac leader): no, sere killed me already.
Slayer_of_Souls: he's out there waiting for us, isn't he. i'm gonna die.
Sereneai: b:sin why don't you come find out.
    Kinglkaruga: you go first dule.

Thanks guys. I just started playing yesterday, and so far I am blown away by this game. But I just have a few more questions. I have yet to be in a squad group for any reason and was wondering if there is a group loot mechanic in the game or if individuals just roll for the loot or if your the first one to click it you get it. Also, I am looking to join a guild, because my favorite part of gaming is the social aspect, and I want to jump into that as quickly as possible. Where do I go to look for a guild to join?

    Thanks again!

Squad leader selects random (loot picked up goes to random person within the group) or free (loot picked up goes to person picking it up) before forming squad. Coin is always evenly split between squad members, regardless.

Watch world chat (the yellow chat) for factions (the equivalent of guilds in this game) recruiting for people in your level range.

Squad limit is 6 characters, except the new areas coming in the expansion will allow 10 character squads.

Just wanted to clarify a few things:
    2.) Are there dungeons/instances?
Yup, the wiki has a list of them here: Dungeons
I have yet to be in a squad group for any reason
Generally speaking, except for your level 19/29/39 cultivation quests, you won't need a squad until you hit level 40 and start doing the daily Bounty Hunter quests.
and was wondering if there is a group loot mechanic in the game or if individuals just roll for the loot or if your the first one to click it you get it.
Mayfly explained how drops work pretty well. Hit "T" to see the squad ("T"eam) window, where you can select Random or Free drops when creating a squad.

To see how EXP/SP are split up in a squad see the Experience Points wiki entry.
Also, I am looking to join a guild, because my favorite part of gaming is the social aspect, and I want to jump into that as quickly as possible. Where do I go to look for a guild to join?
I believe you have to be level 10 or 20 before you can join a faction (we call them "factions" instead of "guilds"). Basically, just watch world chat, or if you have fun with another player who has a faction name above them, ask them if you can join their faction.

FYI, you can click the "Edit Your Avatar" link at the top of any page in the forum to have it automatically show your character name and server next to your posts.

    Have fun!

19 culti doesn't need a squad, and some classes can complete 29 culti without a squad. (FBs aren't part of culti until FB59, nor are the tideborn or earthguard post-19-culti boss fights)

You can join a faction at level 1. You just can't create a faction until level 20.

Yeah, I meant the FBs, not the cultivation quests. Thanks for the correction.
