Do you need coin to level?

Saw a thread about someone begging for 5m and it got me wondering if you need coin to level up. I'm only 28 so I wouldn't know..I hope not, hopefully I can continue slapping mobs and questing.

    1 skill at level 79 cost 1 mln coins.

    Gear cost coins too.

    Some parts of gear cost dozens of millions coins.

    You'll be fine with questing, don't worry. :)

    There are some things for which coin will be advantageous, like rare gears, certain daily quests, and the like. At your level, you don't have to worry much about coin except for your skills. Though if you make a secondary character, you may want to consider rolling it on an older server like Heaven's Tear or Sanctuary (the prices on player-sold items are cheaper there).

    Just keep on going and make sure to make friends with people you quest with. You won't really have to worry about money until at least lv80, IMO.

    People beg mostly because they're impatient and because they want the game played for them. You can safely ignore these people.

    As others have said it costs coin to learn skills but it also costs spirit points. Even learning manufacturing skills will cost you coin. As long as you quest and even learn to farm and merchant mats you can do just fine. Don't forget about the DQ rewards too.
