Hi all b:bye

So I'm not sure whether my avatar is still bugged, but I am currently 88, and very close to 89 (I will prolly have got there by the time most of yall read this). Anyway, I've already decided to go sage, thats not the question I have. My question is which sage skills would you recommend learning quickly, and which would you leave til later? Even though ive got a while to go, I'd appreciate the 99 skills being included. I have pyrogram, gush and stone rain books already, but none other than that. Any tips for sage gameplay welcome as well b:thanks

    I'd convince you to go demon but you've already made your choice, so...
    Stone Barrier for sure, it's your defense buff, can't have enough of that. Your masteries are always important as well. If you can't afford D. Pyro or Snare I would suggest holding them off, they have the -resistance% which is useless with Undine Strike so that coin may go to better things like Distance Shrink, Will of the Phoenix, Sandstorm and Force of Will. Ultis are always good, of course, and I'd try to get BIDS first.

    hi there im 95 sage wiz like u b:victory and wat i would say it should go like:
    1 stone rain (couz it hit so much harder now and have smaller chanling time)
    2.pyro i would say couz u hvae change to get 20% to get 30 chi points (and chi wat we really need for being awesome b:laugh )
    3.gush couz its only a little extra on slow change and the time it slows

    but ofc everyone is good ^^

    I'd say: Pyrogram, Stone Rain, Distance Shrink, all three ultimates, Force of Will

    Those are the most relevant skills for maintaining your chi as well as the biggest advandage you have in going sage, the awesome ultimates. Once you got those you can work on the rest.

    Masteries and Stone Barrier.

    Then I would save towards your bookclip. The clip should be more expensive atm than usual due to the fluctuation in token prices, however, if it should stabilize again with the next actual pack sale (hopefully its a sale this time <,<).

    Its cheaper than buying all the skills seperately and you get alot of the better ones like Will of the Phoenix, Frostblade (chi gain), Sandstorm, Distance Shrink and Force of Will.

    After that I would focus on getting your ultimates. I would avoid Sage DB for now.

    How could I forget teh Masteries and Stone Barrier... Those are a must as well of coruse. And the bookclip is really worth it, you aren't going to find skills like shrink or will of the nix in AH usually.

    If you are going sage.
    #1 Important skill is Sage bids.

    FoW is nice and cheap.

    Stone barrier.

    I like sage DB.

    Tyvm for all the replys guys, theyre really useful. That book clip looks awesome but I did some math and stuff and its really expensive b:surrender Ah well time to save up I guess. On a side note I got sage and I love it, so no going demon for me b:chuckle

    learn the cheapest skills first. People saying stone barrier or bids have likely never paid for them. Check the AH and buy up all the cheap skills you can.

    Otherwise, if you really need a short list of must have skills:

    bids

    stone barrier

    divine pyro (a nice debuff if you don't want to take the time to undine, and in a sutra combo with spark its very nice)

    force of will (the aoe is small, but in tw can be fun to seal more than one person)

    earth, water, fire Masteries


    That's it. Having them all is nice, of course, but most of them are just more damage and/or reducing chi cost/channel time - which is nice, but not usually a crucial game-changer.

    And yes, if you want to 1 vs 1 pk on your wizard, go demon. If you like TW more, I still give the slight edge to sage.

    When you use undine first, even if you use Divine pyrogram / Glacial snare, the undine debuff will last. If you use Divine pyrogram / Glacial snare before Undine, only the other 2 debuffs will be -60% (earth + water / earth + fire), the first one being -20% from the skill.Don't be afraid to get sage ones!

    A+ Wizzie! I think this is what I remember.

    They don't overwrite each other, but they do share an icon, so the first one to hit stays for the duration.
