I just made a Mystic to play around and see if I like it. The tooltip confuses me for this skill though. The actual damage per tick against a level 3 non-elemental mob is ~20 instead of 79.7 damage per tick. Is the tooltip incorrect or what's going on?

    I believe what you're experiencing right now is simply the damage reduction.

    The number from the skill description IS the amount of damage you are dishing out - however before that reaches the target it goes through the target's defenses.

    (Insert a whole bunch of math here)

    So basically your damage IS that number, but it's being reduced because of the target's defenses - however if you were hitting something with 0 defenses then you would experience no reduction. (Like a cat in a town)
