Heya. I recently started working on my gears and skills and got some questions.

I'm sage. People ask me if I got sage BP yet. I'm not sure how to best get that skill though. I know it's in the assassin skill clip you can get for 45mil. Never seen it in AH.

Would like some other sins opinions here. Is it that important to get that paint before r8 and me hitting 100 or can it wait? (I'm not in a hurry to hit 100 at all, rather playing casually with some friends.)

And to the sage sins out there: How did you get your bp? ._.

its makes a huge difference in my opinion, and you will be more liked in squads

but dont break the bank on it, other stuff are more important

Sage BP is freaking awesome. Was one of the first Sage skills I got.

I got my Sage BP by getting the Advanced Mystical Page clip for 45m. I then proceeded to sell off most of the other skillbooks. I did spent about 37m gambling on the random bookclip trying to get it.

Both sage and demon are limited to 5aps.

This. With less gambling on randoms, I only tried twice on the "If I'm lucky..." notion then decided to save up since I needed all the skills anyway. b:chuckle

Unless you plan to take about half a year to hit 100 I would prioritise R8 over it myself, but that is just opinion of course, it is up to you.

(BTW, like Olbaze said, it's mother****ing awesome. I'm officially a low aps sin out of not giving a ***** (2.22) and can still tank/solo most things I need to and can duo the rest aside high TTs.(3-x))

EDIT:

To clarify, you need to buy 300 Mystical pages with tokens and take them to the mystical librarian and take the Sage-Bookclip quest. It should cost around 45m @10k tokens to make te pages, but right now token prices kind of suck, so you're looking at 60m or more right now

Lol at all the sage haters. Idc about 5.0, I want to play the class how I like it, and that's actually using my skills and playing in a way that suits sage more

Thanks Olbaze and John_Smith, that was exactly what I feared. lol Guess I'll go down the long road of saving enough money for the book clip then.
As for the r8.. well it can wait if you say sage bp is that awesome. I'm mostly playing with my friends anyway, so I won't hit 100 anytime soon since we're staying in the same phoenix valley range.

Sage BP is very, very awesome. Basically it increases your healing via bloodsuck by an extra percent.

Which means that if you hit (random example) 500,000 on a mob you would get back 15,000 hp from bloodsuck.

This basically means with hard hits you would be able to keep yourself alive w/o issue.

I met a 5.0 +11 G15 Sin on a Seat run, who's opinion of Sage BP was pretty much: My DPS doesn't suck, so I don't need it.

sage paint, but 100% health is 100% health regardless of whether it was healed by 2% paint of 3%. See a few 3.5k heals pop up every second and it doesn't matter, lol. For Seat, 2% is fine for me with no worries. For most sins its either 1 shot and dead or your paint will heal you anyways.

For some instances/bosses, though, sage paint is awesome. Even for vana, it makes things chill. That's kind of why I like bringing a cleric every once in a while to vana, because I can just lay back and relax without worry too much about hp or debuffs. Lazymode ftw.

There's a lot of ignorance.

Sage Assassins can obtain 5 aps.
Demon Assassins are likely to use Rank 8 daggers (which = more dmg per hit / less cost).
Sage Assassins get a defense bonus upon eruption as opposed to an aps bonus.

Sage may have stronger AoE's with the same weapon, but are likely to use the G13 instead of Rank 8.

The argument isn't as simple as it's being played out. To me; there's no clear winner outside of which has the better squad buff vs which has the cheaper road to aps.

I went sage for the dagger devotion and sage BP, the skill says it increases the hp soak by 3%
You fkn tards at PWI need to learn english ffs, it increases it to 3%, just destroyed my sin cause of japanese ignorance! FTW!

And you need to research before you do things like that. Did you really expect to get a 150% improvement in healing capability? Noone I know did, they ALL researched before they committed. b:bye

I don't give a ** where they come from, read the skill, and I did research through forums, some said increase by 3%, some said to 3%, so I chose to believe what the skill actually said, and was also told by a sage sin it was to 5%, nm, I'm just pissed about it atm b:shutup

Id rather hit harder with a def boost and be base 4.0 than a 5.0 demon (erupted) ijs

id rather 1 shot with deep sting and 65atk levels but once again my opinion anyways... *goes back to work*

Ill be sincere, I got sage bloodpaint for 5m on random book, on first trial.

Sage bloodpaint is awesome and such, but in any case, you'll suffer till you get well geared since our spark doesn't give aps, you'll have a hard time till 100 4.0, 5.0 base.

Doesn't seems to, but people look wrong at sage sins because they're naturally slower with sheet gear like mine and yours.

And yea, I know about peoples attitude. I knew about it when I picked my cultivation. ^^
Until I got my gears done so far that I can seriously compete in nirvana or something, I won't go for it. Not like it's my only char. b:mischievous

My sin is more of a fun project, seeing where I can get with the way I play and the skills. No pressure to get big and strong just yet. b:chuckle

Just throwing in my two cents, I got r8 before i picked up sage bp. The spike damage from r8 was too tempting lol

That being said *spent 20m on sage bp* I

sage bp! Life saver, well at least i can do nirvana runs without using more than ~5 crabs. *2.5 aps* So ya not that it needs to be said again but sage bp + low aps is still pretty op lol

Sage or Demon, stuff in this game is gona die really fast anyway lolb:chuckle

Its all about investment.

Off course after some point upgrading your attack cost more than SageBP itself so that's the right time to get it.No point on spending 45M on that skill if you still carry Hook and Thorn +3 // you will get way better benefits from upgrade your weapon & the rest of the equip that would help your survivability even more than Sage BP.
