well you seem to have the basic sense of the wizard kiting, which is a very nice thing to see. (Especially since the r9 came out...not many wizards semm to bother kiting anymore as the majority of them have a tab -> 1 shot )


Though I do have one question...during the times that you have him frozen, sealed, or otherwise...why didn't you bother to use a ulti skill? Or was the video sped up so that it looks like you have faster channeling than you actually do? (For the BM)

The seeker was funny, using Edge blur on you xD.

On the psychic: Wow...Uhm...did the SoV proc at all while you attacked him? or his SoSilence? I mean I really didn't see him do much in the way of actually trying to kill you....it looked like he was just playing around or something :S....

Second Seeker: Yay a good seeker, a very nice fight. Though at the end I couldn't tell if you had won or died



But overall I'd say you are a 8/10 on your wizard. (Minus 2 for dieing to another wizzy <)

Annoyed you still want to seem to point out flaws in other people's posts but don't even wihs to post from your main, while also trying to prove you are a know-it-all for the classes...a little.

I liked the video. Especially nice to see a demon wizard pking for a change. I like how you use your control skills. That drop + hailstorm move to get someone stuck in midair is something I like to do as well.

Some general advice:

- Why are you kiting that BM with full chi and your sleep not on cooldown? He even used a pk pot and his genie before. It's like you insist on killing him with normal skills. Sleep + ulti would have done the job.

- Use Mountain's Seize more. I think I didn't see you casting it even once. It's amazing, especially combined with sleep. And the demon version rocks.

- While you do fortify against that archer, you should try using it more against BMs. It takes less genie energy than badge and BM stuns are pretty easy to predict.

- Try to cancel your ult if someone domains. Basically keep your finger on escape whenever u sleep + ult to react fast, it really helps a lot.

- Add in demon emberstorm against BMs right when your seal is about to end, so that you still have time to shrink if the stun does not work. Annoys them as ***

- Second HardToThink there.. Why not use that sleep more often? It's no use if it just looks pretty in your skillbar :P

All in all I liked the mix of the classes you chose to fight, and you did pretty good in all fights

Edit: One more important thing. Don't you have elemtal shell? If not get it and spam it on cooldown. It's 30 extra chi per minute basically for free and if timed right it helps a lot against psys, mages and even clerics. Would have probably saved you soem charm ticks and maybe the death against the wiz (use it when he sutra sparks).

Thanks for the responses.

I guess I'm too used to playing archer to utilise my skills. I pretty much always like to keep alacity (79 antistun + speed buff) to use whenever the fight goes badly, so I guess sleep is like my defensive backup that I'd like to use as insurance, especially since spamming FoW is the way to go on the wizard it seems.

During the fight vs Psy I had over 700 ping at the begging (was uploading another video), I usually manage to cancel in time but it seems I didn't that time.

I guess I should try playing more offensively as well. Again from playing my archer vs HA I start off defensively and conserve chi to freeze and debuff. I guess I could use ultis more freely since I have the gear and genie to tank a little.

The reason I'm not casting MS alot is because of my lack of -chan. My R8 recast turned out pretty badly and I'm stuck on 19% channel if I remember. BIDS and BT would barely cast before sleep runs out.

I don't have demon Emberstorm yet as I can't find it. I ALWAYS forget to learn the last 79 skill whenever I log on my wiz and don't have SL.

I use sleep as defensive backup as well, but only when the fight turns out very badly, like a last save against sins. It usually works better as an offensive skill.

I would try to get a little more channel. I got 22 (would love to have more...) and it's just eniough for sleep + ms most of the time. If you are sure it works, try demon quaff + sleep + ms. Then you also got a channeling boost for the following skills. You could for example use demon dpyro + genie spark while your target is stunned.

Hopefully recasting R8 weapon this weekend, that might have -chan on it. Also trying to get Damascene ores to reforge my wrists/leggings for better stats. +MP is just fail beside the 2 piece bonus for 900 HP.

The video was ok like HTT and Aren stated u didnt use sleep once XD thats like a spam skill on our server lol. MS should be used with sleep even if ur channeling is slow use fortify just b4 it wears off if u think the bms will stun u. Also another thing i noticed is u dont have soul of fire on your genie, all i can say is ouch XD. IMO if your gonna be fighting wizzies get it. Cant tell u how many wizzies try spark combo on me and there normally r9+12 SoF is amazing against it. Didnt notice if u had demon stone rain yet but if i was demon that would be my lead skill and spam skill. In the case with the bms u could have end the 1v1 alot faster if you would have extreme poison then used spark + dpyro+ BT since there in magic marrow it works pretty well. Thats how i take out r9 josd bms.

I haven't read what anyone else has posted so I'm just gonna say a few things;

1) vs bm, ALWAYS watch their sutras. as soon as they drop magic sutra sleep or seal. it's probably their biggest point of weakness. i noticed that vs the first guy his sutra kept expiring and i was waiting for like a 25k crit but you never took advantage of it.
2) use your fire skills more often on close ranged enemies. get them at like 55% or so hp, undine, then sleep/seal and use the genie skill Spark (lowers fire resist) and Extreme Poison then do undine -> divine pyro, pyro, phoenix, divine pyro, pyro. that should drop anything near you.
3) remember that sandstorm is your strongest chi-less skill, so use it whenever you've got the time. it'll wreck.
4) teasing is a great way to waste the enemies' defense skills. the psy you 1v1ed put up the anti-phys dmg before your bt hit. if you know that their skill isn't on c/d start casting bt and stop when they put up the skill. after its effects wear off cast bt (not sure on c/d times so hopefully this'll work).
5) this'll probably go against what a lot of other people say but don't jump. if you learn how to kite without needing to get into the air vs physical classes you'll be a LOT better. plus when vsing archer or sin or even bm one lucky stun or freeze can get you trapped and you won't be able to use any skills until you hit the ground again. you risk the chances of being completely defenseless.
6) try to stack control skills. keeping your enemy unable to skill for a long time usually gets a kill. if you've stunned with stone rain try to put a sleep on immediately afterwards and then hopefully a seal after that too.
7) the greatest way to kill archers (that i've found) is a sutra seize. get em right above a tick, undine, gush, seal, sutra -> sandstorm, divine pyro, mountain's seize, then just whatever. that should take them out.


i haven't pvped on pwi in about a year and a half (just got back like a week ago, level 80) so this advice might be a bit outdated and numbers might be a bit off. hope it helps though.

Now, Perses...dont abuse hurrdurr, his main is an archer on RT called Boogiepanda, he asks others to post his TW videos. He likes to post on this alt so he can hide under anonymity. Also he's got a wizard too there.

His only problem is the fact he is way too smart for this dumb world and he cant cope with adapting.

regarding the reason as to why people have the opposite opinion on this point: if you cut out one dimension of your kiting options, it logically follows that melee classes with already good anti-kiting skills (e.g. sin) are given an even bigger advantage.

of course, the freeze-in-mid air is a likely possibility; in fact, many demon wizzies and other classes use that frequently as a disabling tactic. if this is really a big problem, then perhaps remove immobilize/BOC are good genie skills to have (or use vacuity if you pvp w/ pots).
