Riad - Raging Tide

After i've been on forums for a couple weeks skimming through many threads about endgame item builds etc, i've decided to go ahed with this setup:

Gimme your opinions and suggestions. If anything is wrong with this please lemme know, i'm not too sure about the sharding so please lemme know if im doing something stupid. Also, @ 1.4m coins per gold, how much would you estimate this setup to cost? I've already bought 500 gold but keeping it until prices raise a bit. Thanks again, cheers.

EDIT** - i know 500 gold can only buy me at best the unrefined version of this setup, how much more would i need for shards + refines? thanks.

Whoops, $500 basically used up already. Pan gu is out of budge range.

JoSDs are running at anywhere between 85-120m each on RT. Vits are 30-36m. Refining a piece from +1 → +10 assuming you mirage and aids to +7 then just Ocean Orb to +10 will cost you around 110m per piece of armour/ornament while Oceans are on sale. 2 garnet gems are 60m and socket stones are 9k each. Assuming you get 3s on all pieces of equipment you need 40,000 socket stones to fully 4 socket that set (excluding claws). Cheapest way to get 2s claws is to get 2s TT99 and keep it using chiekungs which is around 120 gold and another 2000 socket stones assuming you do not get 2s on TT99 fists. DoT is running at 10-14m each.

Alright, i can live with that, as long as i can get the gear i need, the Pan Gu i will get later and get an element belt but for now, this is my current build. Forgot to say that i wanted to get +5 on everything and farm nirv to upgrade eventually, i already have demon HF, Roar and Aura. Thanks Hurr, i'll try to work around this budget :P

R9, but even R8 is better than first cast vana axes

I agree, R9 but usually R8 till then.

Critiques on the build:
If you are not in a "super" hurry you can farm the Lunar Glade G13 Cape. Its actually better than the event cape, and if you take your time and farm it/search for good deals on mats it can be cheaper.

R8 ring will give you more dps but obviously hurt your pdef. Great for things like easy vana's or when you are running with a cleric or if you are not tanking, but harder when you are soloing. Harder since you want LA evasion orny since that'll already gives you low defense and makes you a squishier BM. I'd have gone wrist and boots with HA belt. If you go R8 ring you also have the option of R8 axes/other weapon and maybe recast gear.

Some already mentioned fixing your dex to 200 (178 base+22 in adds) and getting a tome. Also I'd suggest vit and magic down to 3.

Other than that it looks good. Its what I did, mostly. For the Windpours consider G15 but not too hard. I like the dph but I miss 4 aps base with 5 aps cyclone, too. That's getting out of your budget but something to consider if making Windpours your endgame or not.

TBH I think the Jades are wasted in a PvE APS Build. The money you're spending on those could be better put elsewhere - like the suggestions from the other posters above. APS is not recommended for PvP really (Doable, hell I'm doing it, but still).

DoT vs JSoD, more damage = faster stuff is dead. If your HP + Mag Def/Phys Def is good enough, you won't even charm tick in instances.

Probably a little more expensive than most would want, but with this set-up you could basically use any fist you like (with or without -int)...

But meh, kinda a fantasy build..mainly because of the odds against getting the types of add's on the r8 recast
