Minimum amount of chan needed?

I'm trying to look towards end game for my wizard, and I have no clue what the bare minimum amount of channeling should be for pk and pve purposes. Was thinking a build like this, http://pwcalc.com/c02d9e70856e5ac5, but wasn't sure how good it would hold up. Trying to keep it practical at first, then improve on the refines and what not later, while keeping intact as much gear as i could that I already owned.

    -30 is enough to use an bids/bt before force of will is over so you don't have to wait for sleep before ultis all the time. I want -40 so I can cast mountain sieze before force of will is over though.

    Is everything except the rank gear gear you already have?

    I think this is slighty better. No need for sky covers at all. Replaced sky cover and R8 Top. Also, sharded r9 top just like u sharded the r9. If you were planning on that other build, Im sure u can afford this one.

    P.s: whats with the boots? o.o. Id replace those for R9 ones. wich wud get +10 atk level.

    Skycover was there since I already own it, plus it gives a good amount of def. I'm not 100% sure though if I want to go full r9 on my wizard, archer, or barb when it comes down to actually deciding.

    Oh yeah if you already own it then its a good deal.

    But if you got spare money go for what I said. You keep same chanting as ur build + Mag attack and + Phys res ^^

    +7 Sky Cover isn't worth it in my opinion. If you use lunar magic ring you only lose 200 p.def and gain another -6% channeling. I would only use the PQ3 if it was +10 or above and only then it's for walking about west gate knowing there are sins who would probably try and jump me.

    tbh if you go for good endgame gear youll have enough chan. and i dont recommend channel stones in the weapon, dph class needs more dph.

    Imo channeling is not important on a wiz, it doesnt matter how fast you 1 hit someone but how much hp u can 1 hit... ijs

    He said that he wants to keep most of his gear.
    He already has the WoCC. Buying a Matchless would be money he could put towards R9.
    And down grading his r9 to TT99 makes no sense what so ever.
    Down Grading for Channeling is not worth it. He'd sacrifice defense and hp.
    Not to mention he needs the bear minimum channeling if he wants to go pvp. He'll need defense.

    -30 channeling is fine.
