** PVP drop -blue names- pick drop

idk if this is an old topic.
we pvp so epicly and alot of people make new chars keeping them blue name and will follow the pvp closely and wait for people to die to pick the drops, this is bull ****. it needs to be changed.
since blue name cant pvp make it also that they cant pick drops from pvp.

If I was on a PvP server, that would be quite annoying. Blues should only be able to pick up mob drops, not PvP character drops.Proud Executor of Rapture

Anyway, this is annoying on PVE servers as well, I killed someone and he/she/it dropped like 2 lunar rings and a weapon. My wiz was at max range, so by the time I even got to the drops they were all gone O_O
But I don't really care, it's more annoying than anything else.0 -

Yes, because that totally has something to do with each other. People try to play the "gooned" card so much it becomes old. So someone who abused the glitch because he knew everyone else did and he would be at a huge disadvantage if he didn't isn't allowed to complain about ANYTHING anymore? Cool. By the way, I hardly played when the glitch was around, and considering the new revelation potions and all the 105 sins around I so wished I had abused the hell outta it.

NO!!! Then my farming time in there will be like when I was 30 and getting pked every 2 minutes... I want my farming/grinding spot left alone
Take it to that instance the 79 is in.... Its just like secrect passage only there no really low lvls to mooch off of you and by then... the people that need the instance can just tele in. Eh well, killing someone and taking the gear they worked for is not much different than the blue name coming up and taking the gear you killed that person for. You might say you worked for it by killing said person, but you didn't have to work nearly as hard to kill them as however long it took them to make the money for the gear by farming/working irl to cs. Same as the bottom feeders who hardly have to work at all to steal the drops you are essentially stealing off of someone else.
You must realize the parallels between taking someone's drops and someone else taking what you consider your drops.
what it boils down to is that you are taking something that isn't yours, you are free to take it, but so is anyone else who gets to it first. It's like that old Aesop fable that I'm too lazy to explain right now.0 -

Im not saying I'm against keeping drops. By all means, take em if you can, but I just find QQ threads on the blue name issue ironic, as the blue name scavenging abides by the same kind of mentality as used by one who takes a persons drops after killing them.
The "as soon as it drops it's yours" is essentially "finders keepers". If you accept that idea, then dont be hypocritical about the scavengers... is all I'm saying. Or hey, stay hypocritical, but at least recognize it for what it is.0 -

no its nothing like that, as goon glitching has nothing to do with pk drops. And for a troll to be succesful, I imagine there needs to be some kind of subtlety or intelligence in their style. I know I know but it's reaaally difficult to focus on the plight of someone who, we can safely say, took pretty much full advantage of the goon glitch but yet feel entitled to complain something as miniscule as blue name pk vultures. Is there no shame for those goon glitching people?? Although I do agree with your points mentioned earlier prior about how there's really no difference between blue players taking drops and PKers taking drops, BUT I really cannot take this guy seriously.

I am accepting that blue names who pick drops are withing the rules, I am not asking for them to be banned or anything. But there is a difference. If you are white or red name and pick drops you are on the same risk of dropping than anyone else. You have to use sl or use up dolls in order to prevent yourself from dropping. So you take a risk and have a chance for a reward if you get a good drop. You could also be stunned so you cannot pick up the drop or something. Blue names however don't have any risk. They can't be killed themselves, noone can keep them from taking drops (it's not technically stealing, as long as it's on the ground it's fair game). That's what's annoying about them. They take no risks but always take the chance to pick when the can. It's especially annoyign for ranged classes like me."Of course you should fight fire with fire. Just use dolls if you wanna pvp otherwise just suck it up, princess. You choose to pvp where you pvp then you have to assume the risks. Lots of choices here to protect yourself and your loot. Now if it's other people's drops you want and you can't pick it up fast enough that a blue named char gets it then you may wanna adjust your strategy a little.I **** bigger than you...

One of the worst parts of the blues you'll find, is that if ya watch 'overtime' some are occasionally working in conjunction with 3rd party~whites "but seldom reds" who'll attack the victor just long enough to distract them, while the blues run in and nab the drops, then they all split or force a log off.....
Its really lame that the victor's can't claim the spoils, or even give it back to the looser of the PvP, if that was what they were already going to do.......b:surrender0
