Multi Client Dual Monitor Question

When running 2 clients on 2 separate monitors, would one client pause on the screen if i am currently playing one character or would both run seamlessly so that i can track both at the same time? Looking into a getting another monitor for this purpose but wouldnt really matter if i it pauses the game play of one client while playing on the other.

Yes.
When the client loses focus it shuts down the graphic processing and cuts the CPU time in half.
Got to remember, the client was originally designed when we only had single-core processors and a 32MB 3D video card was high-end.
They haven't actually updated the engine since then.
There is a 3rd party launcher that you can use that will force the client to remain active when it loses focus. Couldn't tell you where to get it though. It's been a while since I saw it, may not even work with the current version of the client.
Edit: Another mild annoyance is that when you run full-screen on either or both monitors, it locks the mouse focus to that window and you can't drag across between the two. There are some old dual-screen tools that will allow it, but I haven't found any that reliably work with Windows 7 64-bit.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Thanks for the quick response.
I will see if i can find the launcher to keep it running.
But i think i will still end up using dual monitors seeing
as it wont be as such a hassle as to clicking each window
to open up the client again.0 -

Also, you can modify the code in elementclient.exe, but again, this would be a violation of the ToS. Doing it is a bit tricky anyway and you need a decent system to handle the code editor.
Remember, the client was made before even LCD's or Widescreen monitors were a standard.
Edit: Also, don't necro threads dude, start a new one. (Although, if you had read the answer, you wouldn't have posted in the first place.)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
