Faction Names?

I know that character names are shared on the same coastal servers. How about faction names? Are they shared as well?

If I have a faction on Sanctuary, can I make the same faction name on Archosaur, even though they are both West Coast servers?

If a faction is disbanded, can that faction name be used again after a certain period?

Any answers would be awesome. Thanks!

The faction name will be taken, since that is a database, and databases like this can't hold two values for the same name. That would cause some confusion, especially if a name showed up in your player list that wasn't even on your server.b:chuckle

I'm not sure about the faction names being used again... It would have to have been a level 1 or 2 faction, since anyone who put the money into a level 3 isn't just going to let it go, and it can't technically be disbanded.

It was a level 3 faction. The person who had lead of it deleted the character who possessed the leadership of it, thus deleting the faction (it was void of members).

And the same name is on Sanctuary (in my own possession). I was just wondering if since the faction was 'deleted by default', if I could take the name again on Archosaur, or if I would have to delete the name on Sanctuary first?

Sanc and Arch share the same nameserver database, so no, you can't make a faction with the same name.

You may be able to play with the lettering. i.e. A faction called IceDrakes and a faction called lceDrakes. Looks exactly the same in the client's fonts.

But I had the exact same faction name on Sanctuary as there was on Archosaur. So that cannot be true.
