What's the best 5.0 aps build

Im planning to get my bm 5.0 aps, and i want to know whats the better build for that, so atm i can afford those two builds:

I have never seen a sane soul use a LA plate. Besides it's impractical too. If you ever want to roll a LA char you won't need it. You most likely got rank then. And for another HA char it's **** too. b:shocked

Both are valid builds. Neither are truly better than the other.

You really should be looking into crafting a Pan Gu tome for better options - as opposed to buying 2-3 pieces of gear (That may cost you half or more of the price of the Tome) that you wont use when you get an -int tome. And you will go Pan Gu eventually if you stick around. Food for thought.

Lionheart would be better cause it can translate to better options and gear later, not to mention refines way better. Really, I would avoid any light armor possible, but LA Arms and Boots seems the least impacting to overall stats. If you +10 both of your builds, each has strengths and weaknesses that break about even, however.


Pan Gu, math wise on HT:

Costs 210-225 to make a Pan Gu using tokens and tome frags.

Costs 30-40 + Shards + Refines (Lets say 80m if you go cheapish) for a LA gear you wont use again.
Costs 25-30 for that orny you wont use again.
Costs 40-80 for another piece you may switch out for better gear.

You're already over half, or equal to the price of the Pan Gu.

Add in the fact that if you switch to the Pan Gu, and you change around a bunch of armor to better fit with it, you're actually saving money in the end - because you aren't throwing away 2-3 pieces of equipment and replacing it with other gear. And you still have to get your Demon skills like HF that also cost a fortune.

I started planning my 100 gear at 85 - saving, merching, and keeping an eye out for the right deals.

No matter what you're gonna get the Nirvvy pants, so thats a safe investment.

But TBH, I'd build yourself a reasonable end-game idea (or steal it from the post I mentioned), and start saving for it. Doing a cheap inefficient LA combo that you're gonna upgrade is just throwing away money on bound gear that is gonna get sold to a merchant or thrown on a banker toon with an account stash.

I feel like a GD salesman for Pan Gus all of the sudden. If you are comfortable with a cheap LA hybrid, no worries in the end. I've just heard from many that said they wished they planned further ahead because they ended up upgrading, and realized they wasted over 100m.

Also, this is assuming you're not going to go single -int G15 claws. If you end up doing that, you'll need the tome AND the LA hybrid gear.

To get the coin, I always think of it this way:

Gold is at 2m each.

At $10 a lawn mowed or a driveway shoveled, go mow 10 lawns/shovel 10 driveways and get your tome, and build something you want. Or read warrenwolfy's guide and merch for a while - it will come if you are patient.

I did my gear (in siggy), full demon skills, my wife's (+7 Second Cast Nirrvy 5 Piece Set), and about 250m? in skill books for her - just through pure merching. Buy low, sell normal/high.

BladedZero - Sanctuary

Go with the lionheart plate. That way when you finally manage a pan gu or love up and down you can double cast it for the +5 attack bonus.

Which I like very much, taking out rank 9 and rank 8 recasts I think its the best option. The hybrid LA/HA allows me to go G15 and remain 5.0 and having LA armor pieces gives me mdef and allows me to refine ornies for more defense than if I had HA pieces.

That is really close to what i'd consider, however should also switch the rank 9 boots out with recast 8 boots. The recast 8 set bonus from having chest an boots is significant and makes them better than the rank 9.

true but that gear that you say is never used, i ended up using it on my sage bm (made after a demon barb) and then the LA that you say i shouldent get i ended up using on my demon sin.

Not never, eventually not used.

And were talking Demon BMs -> Triple spark. If you have both a Demon BM and a Demon sin you should probably OP gear one and farm for the other.
