    Wild Ginseng counts as Hay, and the other Hay eating pet (Baby Blazing Phoenix) eats Perfect Cookies as well.

    as far as the food issue goes I'm sure it will eat cookies so just feed it up and get a tome ofc. If cookies don't work just kill some rhinos for hay whenever you need it ;)
