hi everyone, on this char i hit a lvl where grinding is needed and i read a lot about DB grinding but i'm not good at it, i keep dieing, because i keep getting hit by standing still.. all i want is AeO grinding...

so if any of you have any tips and trics on this (also good gears and wep for my lvl are welcome)

At that level, assuming you don't have high refines which would be complete waste of money, you can't take many hits from physical mobs at once, and magic ones won't get into your aoe range. Only thing I can recommend is buying potions and charm, also not pulling many mobs at once into your aoe if you still want to grind, but I strongly recommend taking mobs one by one and doing dailies at that level.


Weapon for lv50:
General Summer's Magicsword if u have money for perfect iron hammer or
Fine Pataka of Bodhi
Wheel of Fate

Gold armors are not worth getting if ur leveling quickly, so just rank I armor is fine or some 2 star or 3 star armor from level 40/50

always keep in mind

you can sell gold stuff again, if you buy it for reasonable prices
you might even make some profit by selling it higher

and if you sell it lower you still spent less than on a bound item like **** general summer sword

rank armor is something good, even tho its bound, you will want rank gear sooner or later anyways (100)



also dragons breath grinding doesnt really work without any help

help might be a cleric, a bm - or

pots or your genie

genie in that case would be Expel (physical immunity) or heals - depending on what youre facing - righ?

but for a wizard, because of low HP and defenses, there's pretty much no chance of solo aoe grind.
do the normal kill for now, 1 mob at a time, wizards do a pretty good job at it. Choose a fire/water/metal mob so you can increase the dmg output and have fun.

Once you get to lvl 95+ a lot of things change (pdef/dmg, etc). Mobs in OHT map3 (the one in the u2b vid are quite nice and easy to grind on, with good drops and good XP)

If you "need" to AOE grind for exp then do Phoenix Valley runs, that place is set up for easy AOE grinding for exp. Join a squad with a healer and a puller and disco ball the night away.

If you want to AOE grind for money then your in trouble cuz I don't think thats going to work.

Dragon's Breath is AoE spell, which can be implemented for nearby mobs.
In most cases those mobs able to do physical damage to Wizard, because of low range between Wizard and mobs.

1. Your level is too low for AoE with Dragon's Breath grind, because:
1) you could not have enough physical defense at your level for AoE grind;
2) you can't kill fast enough to stay alive up to the moment when mobs will be killed;
3) any genie, which you could equip at your level could not have necessary skills to save your Wizard during Dragon's Breath.

You can try though genie with Earthquake (knock back nearby monsters) and Second Wind (heal your Wizard).
2. You can kill mobs very fast at your level using Wheel of Fate with proper gems without Dragon's Breath, but using something like:
1)Hailstorm;
2)Will of the Phoenix;
3) Earthquake (genie);
4) Repeat from step 1.

Before step with Hailstorm you can Distance Shrink from mobs while it is not ready to cast yet to prevent extra hits.

And if you have not enough physical defense and HP (hit points) to take few hits from mobs, which you try to AoE - don't try it.

perhaps you are right, but the quest are mainly grind-quest and i would like some good mats drops from them or DQ - items (yes i am colleting ;-) )

You don't need high hp/def for aoe grind. Just drop in on some melee non mag resist mobs with DB and cast expel asap. -Making sure you can kill before expel wears off.

You can also drop ultis for 1-2 hit kills.

-This may not apply to the OP because of level, but Wiz can certainly AoE Grind. It's just not so practical on a budget.

XEmpressX - Heavens Tear

At level 50 you can still level really fast with hypers just killing 1 mob at a time.
Make sure it is a mob that you can kill easily in about 3-4 hits.
Use the 12x hyper for an hour, you will level really fast.
I know, it is an expensive way to go, but it works.
Also, if leveling is your focus, Wicked Pirate Oracles are really good at your level.
And make sure you do all your TideBorn quests, i think they start at about level50? that will net you about 5 levels super easy.
