Player Run Contests

What kind of prize would make you want to enter a player run contest, and does it depend on the amount of effort you have to put in? Would you ever enter one? Or do you only trust GM run contests? Do you want more GM run contests and did you make a loading screen? Post your ideas. b:chuckle

if that was linked b4, it's not now.. what's the url for the contest? I do contests in my faction all the time, and would LOVE to have fresh idea's and to finally be able to compete in one for myself.

This is my player run contest but not many entries, which made me think about the last ones I could really remember made by another player. There was one that I think there were only like 5 videos entered. But I've also seen successful player run ones, like the miss PWI contest and the create a signature contest. So just wanted to know people's opinions on them.

World Chat Trivia is probably the best way to have any contests. Come up with strange/weird/personal questions, state your intention, prize and then the question. First person who answers wins. That's what people used to do on LC.

I used to participate in player contests on the forums, like the most prettiest contests and such, but alot of them didn't turn out well (the person who made the contest doesn't finish it and such) and that makes people weary about spending the "time" to participate in contests made by players.

Not like Maveena or Red's contests. Where they give away 10m+ worth of stuff at a time on a regular basis. I've done a couple of those after Maveena quit to honor that, but I can't really remember anyone else who did it with any frequency.

Sarrafeline - Sanctuary

There used to be almost daily trivia giveaways on Sanct. Haven't seen one in forever. Those were fun, often times had good stuff in return. Sometimes not.

I'd like to see a Pet Show.

One for Venos and one for Non-Venos.

For the Venos, you create a type of obstical course and get the veno to put the pet through the paces. Judge on handling, skills and name of pet.

For Non-Venos, think about a Pet Show where the pet is judged on name, the judging also relates to owner's fashion/looks matching pet, etc...

Interesting, i hadn't thought of world chat. Maybe next time I'll try that. I've seen em a couple of times in DreamWeaver.
