Hello, I was wondering what class is better a veno with nix/herc or mystic? It is for pvp/pve. I really did not want to spend so much to get a nix/herc if mystic is better class. I have heard nix/herc is useless now so is a mystic a good class for pve/pvp? I plan on spending $500 usd and was wondering what class you think I should choose to be better. Thanks for any information you can give me.

    Honestly I prefer the Veno but I think this is a personal preference and I never really clicked with a Mystic. If you like farming, I prefer the Nix/Herc combination.

    Idk, but a herc will cost you more than $500 USD?? 0.o

    Make a Mystic and see how you like playing it. I dont think taking the time to learn to play the class properly is for everyone, or like the other player wrote - he didnt quite click with his.

    Mystics dont generally collect as much HP as Veno's, nor are they as powerful. Although I love playing the mystic, for PvP (PKing) - my uneducated opinion is for anyone that can hit you for 10K, you want to be a Veno.

    Ive used my Mystic in TW, and its great - sure you die alot, but you heal, kill and damage a lot too.

    For PvE, my Mystic is awesome. DD & Heal Support.

    Its all a mute point if you dont get into playing a Mystic though, so take one for a good thorough test drive and see if its for you.

    it really depends on your preference and play style... A Veno is a good solo class, espetially with a Herc/nix. You can solo TT and have really low costs for Pots or repair. You have some nice debuffs, which helps.
    As a Myst you use your pet different. When the Veno pet is more like a Tank the mystics pet is like an additional DD. It's much weaker but it does pretty good dmg, espetially on Bosses..
    A Myst has the gain of having some pretty cool healing skills. So if you like to become more a healing/DDing mix a Myst is the better choice. if you prefer soloing instances Veno is the better choice..

    For myself I find Venos skills kinda boring. Espetially the once you use often. And I don't like lvling the pet, which is a con also for the Veno. That's why I abbandoned it fast. The Myst has a problem, when he getts higher because I think it starts strong but don't really gets much more strength later.. It's up to you.. What you like more.

    The main reason not to go mystic is if you don't want to be responsible for healing and res buffing your party. That said; it's not too hard at the moment to find parties that take a Cleric and a Mystic. As a veno; you wont have fails blaming you for their deaths for not spam healing them (when you could solo kill using less MP).

    Mystic pets are capable tanks just like Wiz's can be. It really just depends on the situation. Mystics can heal themselves faster and have better defenses at range than a veno, so they can set themselves up as tank better when soloing. Storm Mistress is capable of tanking some FF bosses and keeping aggro from 9x sins (something you couldn't do w/o summons).

    Herc is not that expensive. I have more invested in each equip I use than my Herc. More into mystic skills/herbs/ summons than a Herc cost.

    Mystic is far more OP and dynamic, but also requires more effort. Venos in fail squads almost don't care about it, while mystics work their butts off and pay out the MP to compensate. Veno will also currently get into DD roles while some ignorant players don't consider Mystic a DD. Neither class should be played by the lazy.

    I can see that in TW - all anyone wants them to do is Purge & Amplify. I dont personally have a Veno, but thats all you hear the TW organizers tell them to do.

    Yep, in fact somewhere around lvl 48 you feel a sort of "level nerf" kick in, its almost feels like you became weaker than you had been. But, its a positive to gain strength and a healthy mana pool early on. All good. b:surrender
