Can anyone tell me what are the chances (or how can i get to know them if they depend on levels or whatnot)

-Of making *, ** or *** items
-Of having 1,2,3 or 4 sockets
-Of having 1,2,3 (or more?) magic properties
-Of having +1, or +2 on your items

-From what i know the chance to craft something 2 stars is 40 %
-Chance to craft something 3 stars is 3 %.
- About the chance to get additional magic or any other addons you can see it on pwdatabase.com (make sure you are looking on English version - you can see the flags on the upper right side of the website)
-About the sockets number gained, pwdatabase.com will show the Craft Sockets chance too.Look carefuly, the crafting sockets percentage is DIFFERENT than the drop rates with sockets.FB bosses drop gear with 3 stars.Or you can get it sometimes as reward from doing quests.
- About +1 or +2 if you meant to craft with this , then its imposible to craft upgraded gear, you have to see any Chief/Elder of a city , select Refine Equipment , unequip your gear piece, drag and drop it on that new pop up window with Refine and click Refine.You must have Mirages in your inventory (2 mirages for weapon, 1 for armor/ornaments for EACH TRY).Prepare to waste alot mirages to try your luck making +1 or +2 >I suggest you to try to refine it on smaller or starter cities not in Archosaur.I had better chances in these cities making something +2.In Archosaur i wasted even 25 mirages trying to make something +2.

Some ppl said they got even +3 with mirages wasting a moderate amount.I tried to make +3 too and ended up wasting 40 mirages then i got pissed off and bought a chiengun stone or tienkang or whatever is called (greatly increases the refine chance) (220k) and got +3 from 1st try (from +2 ofc) on a Sakyamuni light magic sword lvl 70.

No need to waste a lot mirages or money on the low level gear trying to make it +2 ..maybe the weapon only and if you are 40+.If you imbue some gems at the blacksmith in your gear you'll be fine.
After 60 lvl you can start to try to upgrade gear 1 by 1 in time.
And dont do my mistake at 40 lvl trying to waste coins to add a new socket to a gear piece.. its not worth it at low lvl.Youll be fine in bh parties without an extra socket..

the chances percentages on websites can be used as references but keep in mind they can modify them a bit after some patches or expansions to the game..and a lot things are not the same since PWI started in 2008.

Edit : I highly recommend to engrave rings if are 3 stars and 48+ lvl.No need to waste money and reroll it ,even a wood resistance added can help you to take a bit less damage from poison.
