server switching?

i know this has been one of my most lovely thoughts.... that i've been wanting to do for ages now.... i've been on the game for about 2-3 years now and i've gotten my lvl 100+ and pretty decent gear now... even if it would cost something i would still do it due to the simple fact that i hate my server sadly cause of it being so corrupt and that its all about r9 and aps for nrivana and all about selling fc and making money....

hell i'd be willing for pay up to 2,000 zen to 4,000 zen to do so max 5,000 zen at most. cause that would be too much hassle to the rich people who would abuse it. so make it like to where we can only change 2-3 times? after that no more changing....

I used to play another game that had the option to hop servers. At first, when you hopped, you kept your items, but lost your money. They had the option as an event. So it would be randomly announced and you had to scramble to get a pass code, but you lost all of your character's money. Nowadays on that game, you can just hop and keep your money whenever you feel like it (it's gotten so dead, they actually closed out servers and forced people to merge with other ones.)

If something like that was announced (randomly and with a code), maybe not with losing money, but something equally as annoying, I'd be all for it. Without that option, it would be easy for most people to take advantage of sale prices on different servers. I saw someone talking in another thread about how they spend about 50$ a month. 50$ is like nothing to some people and they would have that edge over other people.

I have this feeling this topic is going to end up in suggestions? b:shocked

EDIT: Okay so I just saw a similar topic in suggestions already and it's been locked. Why? One of the things I saw on there makes complete and absolute sense. This game has been around so long that there are many people with the same name on different servers. This is probably never going to happen @__@;

Uhhh. I think most servers if not all servers are like that, or will become that at some point.

This will not be happening anytime soon for two reasons.

A) The name cannot be changed because it interferes with the database

It has the potential for abuse by giving players an unfair advantage over others i.e PvE to PvP server and vice versa or an older server with better prices to a new server with more expensive prices. Suddenly that gear is more valuable

However, you can in fact save your characters look. Simply get a makeover scroll and save your character as a preset. Then when you make your new character you can use that preset to enjoy the same looks. Also with a bit of luck, your name hasn't been taken on the other server as they do not share a database with the exception of the European servers whose names do share a database. Also note that it is not expressly against the ToS to offer items and coins to other players on one server for items and coins on the other server. But you must exercise caution and do at your own risk. PWI cannot be held responsible if you lose your items to another player in a bad trade. Again this is NOT recommended by PWI (nor myself, to be honest) but it is also NOT against the terms of service. If you decide to do this, you do it your own risk.
