I am not sure if I can be banned from PWI because I am a Linux user playing the game under Linux using wine. I know you can be banned for modifying the game files, but does that also include indirect changes in how the game is executed? I like the game and just want to know if I can be banned because the PWI client might not have the full functionality in Linux if I were to use Windows in regards to any anti-cheating mechanisms.

Nope, won't happen. I can confirm for you that PWI is fully functional with Wine (with the right .dll files).

You aren't really changing how the game itself or any of it's files work.

You're just running it in an emulator of sorts on another platform. The game thinks it's on a Windows Machine. But it isn't.

PWE wouldn't know the difference, either way.
