PWB will not connect to your servers

I have been trying to connect and play Perfect World International and Forsaken World. I am using Windows 7 and meet all the game requirements. I am using a wireless USB pen for my internet and is fine with other MMORPG games I play. Using your guides, FAQ and forum suggestions I have tried everything suggested and still can't connect to your servers to run PW or FW. b:cry

I have downloaded the game installs in a game folder on a seperate drive to OS and put Pando Media Booster into c:\program files (x86). Then installed PWB.
I loaded PMB, shut it down and reloaded it.
Changed compatability mode from Windows 7 to Windows XP service pack 3.
Added the files to the exceptions list in my firewall and antivirus settings.
Tested the connection and failed the test.
Tried the URL links listed. The first was fine but the second comes back with the message "The site's security certificate is not trusted!".
Ran program as administrator.
Ran program in administrator mode.
Disabled my firewall and antivirus software.
Disabled the UAC.

I am at a loss to explain why this is occurring. I hope that you can help me resolve this issue as I know the games are excellent to play, since I have seen my friends play them and I really want to be able to enjoy the experience on my own PC. First of all, if game is installed delete PMB, you no longer need it and it just chews up Bandwidth. There's no need to change compatibility from Win7, it works fine in Win7. I play with a USB pen with no problem.

Alot of times user accounts are limited ok if you are not administrator this will usually happen know it does on my comp if use guest account can login but char will not load because guest account is limited ok would suggest using administrator account or get on administrator account and create an administrator account ok then download or install to that administrator account k as administrators have full access on computer ok.

I have a post showing this problem about servers not loading to on here its called suggestion think ok it will tell a few things you might need know ok,sometimes a dsl or wireless modem when their firewall is set to normal or above servers will not load ok think thats your problem if not one posted above ok,theres more than 1 firewall on a system ok 1 on comp and others on antiviri software and dsl modem or router has a firewall allso k check those see what their setting is ok most likely one them interfering if your using administrator account ok or non limited account.

First of all, thank you to Vyvyan and Fox claw for your suggestions and your quick responses. I have taken them under consideration. However, I do apologise if I didn't make myself clearer in my problem. b:embarrass

Vyvyan, the main problem is that I can't even install the game, it will not let me connect to
the servers to download it, update it or patch it - thats the frustrating part. If I ever do get
to install the game then I will uninstall the PMB as you have suggested.

Fox claw, my user account is an administratior one so that is not the issue. I have gone through my windows and antivirus firewalls, lowered and in some cases turned them off. I can't locate my usb wireless broadband firewall so I will chase that up and see if your correct in that being my problem. I hope that your right and it is that simple.

Cross your fingers and I will keep you all updated on my situation in the hopes that if others find themselves in this situation, they won't have to be as frustrated as me figuring it out via trial and error. Again thank you for your input guys. If your ideas don't help me then at least they may help others and I hope that they do.

I am having the same problem! I have downloaded PWI and FW several times before. I recently aquired a new computer, and am unable to install either of the games. I think the issue results from "Pando Media Booster (PMB)"... I had windows XP before, when it showed an error when starting the PMB install. I was unable to finish, and after 3 tries, finally gave up. I decided my computer just did not like winXP and installed windows 7. I am now getting an error telling me to close the program. before, on winxp, it was all game files. now, on win7, it is just PWI & FW. I have tried turning off my firewalls, restarting the computer, everything! my fiance and I are both very good with computers, and can not figure this out. I was so excited to get this new computer, for the sole purpose to play forsaken world and star wars, TOR!

oh, and I did have FW installed on this computer before... it would not let me log into any servers, so I uninstalled it, thinking if I reinstalled, it would fix the problem... that is when all this happened. when it would not let me log in, it would say "log in attempt(s) 0 elapsed time 0", or something along those lines. what's up with that?

1: Go to the Forsaken World forums for problems with that game.
2: This thread is over a year old and completely irrelevant to your problem. The first means that reviving it is against the rules. The second means you'd have been better off making a new thread even if these were the right forums for it.
