FrankieRaye, Baby: Christmas Themed Contest

I recently made a slideshow of sorts just for fun. It's a parody of Santa, Baby but instead it's called Frankie, Baby and it pretends as though he's Santa Clause. And all the stuff I want him to use his GM powers to get my character. At first I was just going to post it in my screenshots thread, but that would be boring. What this forum needs is a bit of cheer, and happiness.


So...I'm holding a PWI holiday themed contest.

What you have to do:

Create a PWI themed piece of content, this can be anything from a song parody, to a screenshot, to a drawing of your character, to a video, to an arts and crafts project. Get Creative! The sky is the limit. But the limit is also the sky. Meaning, it has to be winter holiday themed (eg Christmas, Hanukkah, etc) and it to be related to PWI.


The Rules:

1) It has to have both a winter holiday, and PWI theme to it. I don't just want to see pictures of your cat in a santa outfit, and pretending its a barb. If you were to sew one of the actual fashion sets for your cat though, that would be acceptable.


2) If it's an image, it has to be uploaded to one of the following three websites:

Photobucket
Image Shack
Deviant Art

No tiny urls. I want to know exactly where the image is being hosted at and if it's a reputable site. Do not use any sites like tinyurl, I like to know what i'm clicking. Just a personal preference.

3) It has to include a standard piece of of the typical holiday imagery or sounds. For example, nothing obscure or made up completely. EG, if you're gonna do a christmas song parody it should be something well known like "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth", I want a "hippopotamus for Christmas," etc.

The Prize

A forum signature stating you're the winner, and 10 million coins.


End Date

January 12th.

Edit: Group Entries are allowed, but you'd have to be on the same server and you'd be splitting the prize. EG a group pic for the sig, and a split of the coin prize.


Maximum number of entries=2 per person or group. (So if you wanted to do a group entry, and your own entry, that would be fine. But if you would wanted to do a group entry, and then changed your mind and submitted two more entries, only the first two would be accepted.)

Probably won't get very many entries now. Was moved to fantatics even though it's a contest, like the design a character one. That did not get moved. I guess cuz it involves making stuff. Ah well, I still hope that the ad in my siggy ensures there is enough entries that nobody kinda wins by default. And you should totally enter, you can make anything it's not just a make a video, or draw a picture kinda contest. b:cute

Hmm, I hadn't really thought of that until you asked. b:chuckle Hmm, I guess 2 would be a fair amount, just in case someone has one they really didn't like or think would be better; but not so many that someone can spam entries to stack the odds. b:pleased


Also to all those worried, judging will be done by what I felt was the most creative and interesting piece. So anyone can enter, not just who people who have awesomesauce computers or extreme technical prowess. Obviously technical skill will have some importance, but its really not the only thing that matters and everyone has an equal chance of winning.

Yes, but you'd have to be on the same server, and you'd be splitting the prize. (eg a group pic for the sig, 2 people would get 5 million coins each.) If you decide to do this, the number of entries is still two per person/group and the valid entries are the first two you submit. So if you decide to do one group entry, and one individual entry that is fine. But you can't submit with a group, and then later decide to do two more entries on your own. For the sake of fairness, i'll just accept the first two entries.

This contest is one sided, (meaning) i a person from New Zealand has never experienced a winter Christmas (let alone snow in the winter even though i live under a mountain) Yes the one they used to film the last samurai with Tom cruise, our Christmases are filled with going to the beaches, having barbeques, and drinking in the hot sun at the pools, so i guess i wont be partaking in this competition, but great effort towards it though.

Venus clearly stated that it had to be holiday themed. Whether it's a 'summer' Christmas or any other cultural celebration or a classic 'winter' one doesn't matter.

Untrue, this is actually exactly the reason the rule about it being well known is there. Also, why I stated in the rules that it should be a holiday. It doesn't just have to be American Winter Christmas, that's just my own personal framework of reference. So if I google search New Zealand Christmas, I should be able to see these kinds of imagery.

See that image? it's Santa Claus at the beach, so I'd be expecting images more like the one you described than the snowy time images I see more often. If you feel like your submission represents your country well, but that I wouldn't understand it for some reason, just state your country of origin and what the piece means. Everyone is welcome to participate.

I'll have a definitive date for you soon hopefully, it just really depends on the number of entries. ATM I know ppl that want to enter and are planning stuff, so I don't to rush anything. After I gauge the interest and get an idea of what some people are planning, I'll give a hard deadline.
