Can PWI be downloaded and installed on any tablet systems eg. iPad2, Galaxy Tab, etc.?

It might work on windows-based tablets, but unless you have an external keyboard and mouse it's going to be pretty pointless. By the time you're spending that much, you're looking at more of a netbook... Which can run it, people even try to play on it, but the resolution is so poor that, again, it's pretty pointless.

I've been wondering if anyone has tried using a remote desktop application like the LogMeIn Ignition for the Ipad2 to run PWI remotely.

This way the processing is handled by the PC not the Tablet. Typing might be inconvenient, but clicking on the hotkeys and selecting targets should be as easy or easier than using a mouse.

I have done this via PC's and the delay was such that it could only be used to catshop and chat. I can't imagine that it will be any different on a tablet, but I'll try it on my daughters pad later.

It doesn't work. PWI client runs under a DirectX enviroment, and LogMeIn doesn't emulate that.

You can launch and run the client thruought LoMeIn, but what you'll only see once the game is loaded is a black screeen and the mouse pointer.

You can do it using VNC Client, but the lag is too high to be playable, but bearable if you just wanna set up a catshop or autopath while doing the paperclip quest. Oh, and also I've only done this on a local network. Haven't tried do it thru the internet yet, cause I'm too lazy to set up the router to allow VNC to log in thru it, and also becuase a static IP is needed, and my ISP doesn't work that way.

It can be done with LogMeIn if you launch the client and set it up before you connect remotely. I've done it through the internet and it's not any better than you stated for local network.

You could set it up to work with VNC, but it would require a modem/router with the right capabilities to configure pass-through. You don't need a static IP. Your IP address rarely changes, and there is software that you can use to keep track of what it is remotely. Truly though, it won't change unless you change your ISP, or maybe if you change your service plan.

I tried Logmein at the beggining of the year, and that time I only got a black screen on either windowed and fullscreen mode. Maybe now could be done as you say.

My internet is PPPoE, so every time I connect to it changes my IP. I'm just too lazy to do the whole VNC tryout cause I know the result won't be worth it, and if now can be done with Logmein, then there's no need to do it.

Thanks for the replies. I suspected it would be slow, but it sounds like it is at least good enough for Catshopping and maybe WQ. Useful when on the road or just too lazy to go to the PC.

Eureka! Lol. I found a solution.

I tried an Application called Splashtop HD for the iPad2 and it works quite well with PWI and much cheaper than Logmein. In fact they advertise it as being able to play videos remotely and various videogames, and indeed it does work.

Even in Arch there is very little lag, graphics are smooth. The only real problem I have found so far is that it does not have a right click and drag function. You can press down and hold to right click but you cannot drag.

The workaround for rotating views is to use the arrow key overlay function and then change the PWI UI default from Strafe to Rotate. You'll need those arrow keys when flying anyway to go up and down.

It is good enough to fight mob although I would probably not trust it enough to use it in a BH squad.

Simply touch the mob to select them then touch the hotkey icon for the attack or macro function. Simple as that. Moving is as simple as touching the location you want to move to.

When you need the keyboard, just tap the icon in the bottom right, the keyboard does obscure the bottom half of the screen while using it but the graphics continue to update smoothly.

Good find there, now to upgrade to an i-pad.

I'll probably just wait for the next gen Windows 8 tablets though.
