Striking Dragon vs. Regicide/Windpour

As the title says, I need opinions on which weapon to aim for. I like the 4% Crit and Dmg on Striking Dragon instead of Soul Infect, +Vit on Regi/Windpour but been told that TT100 Fists have relatively low dmg and not worth getting. So Im a little confused.
Which one would u go for and why?

If you have rep for r8, i'd go and try to get a the r8 fist Fist of the Monarch Mind then take that and recast it.

Aim for -.05, something like revenge or GoF (idr all the unique stats the melee weps can get), and maybe another -.05 or +vit/hp.
Though with this, the good thing is that if you get something good like GoF, -.05, and +10 vit you can take it to the hon pot and turn that +10 vit into like +20 (or in simpler terms, you can upgrade the +vit stat to a high + amount.)


Otherwise, I truthfully would go with the NV Claws at G13 or G15 based on your amount of cash.

Rank 8 (r8) Recast Fist
G15 Claw/Fist
G13 Claw/Fist
TT (HH) 100 Fist


This is comparing at a expected damage range once at +10 or higher.

The reason I'd suggest going with G13 is so you can sell it when you can afford G15, or even R8 recast if you want. G13 is trade able (lunar version) I like to stay away from items that aren't trade able if I know they won't be end game or I won't be using them for a long time.

Other than that, if you really don't think you'll ever get G15, it's up to you TT100 or G13, use a calc, see what damage you'll do at what refines you can afford, also don't forget G13 proc, it's not great but it's something a lot of people don't consider.

TT100 has better damage output until +11, at +10 their low end damage is virtually the same but TT100 keeps the edge because of its +142 max Phys attack add. If you want a cheaper option and won't go past +10 go with TT100, Soul Infect is nice but higher damage on TT100 and the fact that Soul Infect doesn't work in Nirvana makes TT100 a pretty good choice if you're gonna spend a lot of time in Nirvana. Even if you don't Soul Infect is usually only about 300-500k of HP worth of damage, and at high refines and 5APS that's an extra 30 seconds or so, if that. Not really worth spending an extra 50m or so on a weapon that's a bit weaker.

I'd get windpour until you get another 150 raptures to get G15 nirvy with revenge and 1 -int. That will be your best option.

Sakubatou - Sanctuary

Zanryu had it pretty much right on. Deicides, Windpour, Regicides (g13) all refine at a better rate than SDs. Regidices, Windpours, and SD's all have a higher base damage than deicides. At +10 the Regicides and windpours will have more weapon damage but the +142 addon of SDs makes them almost identical damage, and at +11 Regicides and windpours out dd +11 SDs. However you can't really quantify +17 vitality and soul infect. Deicides have almost the same dps as SD's when they are both +11 and more dps when they are both +12. SDs do get the auto two socket, which may give them a dd edge if you are comparing 90% chance to get 1 socket on everything else.

Rank 8 has a much higher base damage than anything else, but has no -int and has a lower refine rate than anything else until reforged. The reforge/recast costs are astronomical right now and cost of aiming for -int rank 8 is something like 4 billion coin but would put them on par with average G15s and still below excellent G15 claws.

Comparing costs, Deicides are your best bang for your buck because you can basically +10 them for the cost of crafting SDs and they'd be almost the same damage (SD would be something like 1.5% higher, but not add to your vit or have Soul Infect). If you plan on going G15 the TT-> Windpour route is the cheapest.

I kind of consider SDs better for two types of BMs. Cash shopped BMs and sage BMs. Cash shopped because its easier to just buy tokens of best luck and basically "buy" your SDs, and Sage BM's because it has two things that sages lack, -int and the crit rate demon BMs get from their mastery. Most BMs get the cheaper deicides for farming and realize spending 150 mil plus another 100 mil to +10 SDs for1% more damage, less hp, and no soul infect proc isn't worth it.

In order of usefulness:
Windpour=Regicides
SDs
Deicides

In order of cost/efficiancy:
Deicides
Windpour
SDs
Regicides

One more thing. Soul infect can be a very useful proc in pvp because it stays on even after a charm tick, meaning you only need to do 90% damage to kill a person regardless of when their most recent charm tick was.

Ok so right now i have Deicides +4 and was planning on aiming for striking dragons next but after reading these posts it seems like its not really recommended for someone like me who isnt exactly rich? I guess my question is if i got my deicides to +10 could i get away with considering it my end game fists? For pve i expect so but im more so thinking from a pvp standpoint. I tend to use axes more for pvp but in a situation where I might be using fists would the dmg show to be alot worse than any of those other fists/claws mentioned? I basically dont wanna stress over the effort of getting something higher if i dont have to lol.

I think it would be better you not refinf the decides more an just make them g13 nirvana,would be best for end game

You cannot get GoF on rank 8 recast fists, the unique adds are 10-25 def level 10-25 attack level or 3%-6% crit

the chance of 1 instance of -.05 on the fists is less than 1%
