New up date has given the final and devastating blow to tt mats....

    I sure know in the past week I've played less PWI than before. Exactly because of Fairy Boxes.

    Main reason being that I used to do BH to get subs and would then run a lot of solomode TTs to get Fairy Boxes, which I would then open leisurely in the next week or two.

    Mind you, I'm not really complaining about the money. After all, most of my coinage comes from merchanting.

    it certainly killed TT for me.

    like Olba, it was not my primary source of money, but it made it worthwhile to run through it a few times

    i am rather annoyed, as i just got my 92 skills, and can really breeze through the low level ones now

    How does it give a blow to tt mats? if ur talking about the recasting i wouldn;t worry, it will take forever to even get 1 piece done, plus its pretty useless to get more than 1 or 2 peices, you would loose set bonuses and whatnot from tt gear so don't complain, this update left tt and nirvy gear useful and still needed.

    Unless the patch removed TT mats from the game, pretty sure TT mats weren't killed.

    'Fairy boxes' does not equal 'TT mats'.

    however, it does = TT profitable

    without it, short of some good luck, TT is not very profitable, besides a few exceptions
    not much reason to run TT anymore, especially solo

    Im actually glad the fairy boxes were removed. I did enjoy my 36 mir per day, but the amount of mirages flooding the economy made them almost worthless.

    Old players will remember when the mirage market was quite profitable. Im hoping the prices might rise again b:pleased

    I don't if its just me, but since this patch I seem to have noticed alot more spamming in WC for forming squad TT or looking for openers. Guess some people adapt better than others.

    Yay, back to losing 2 million every time I fail to refine my gear instead of 1. Woo, how excellent.
    I've quit excluding TW for my faction. But I still hang around to help out those who still enjoy the game under PWEs horrific handling and to have fun in the forums. b:cute
    #Shame about PWEs absolutely craptastic handling of the goons glitching. Remember kids, there's no punishment for breaking the rules here!#
    If you make a valid complaint, your thread will disapear. Don't post it here, post it on other sites where PW can't hide it.

    This. I check the Elder at West Archosaur every now and then, and the amount of people who merchant them have driven the mirages down to around 10.4k or less (10.2k last I checked). Squad mode TTs are still a viable way to collect them too...my only gripe is that Solo Mode is completely worthless at this point because of this change. =/

    Yup, I can't really recall a GM post posted after the patch now that I think about it.

    ..or I'm just not aware of any.

    look..solo runs that can get you 720k if you have 2 alts was way to easy..almost better than a full standard run.But you people fail to realise they are i. squaded tt still so just get people to open and viola...you get boxes...sheesh.
    This game is like washing hair with shampoo... Rinse and repeat if desired.

    I kept seeing people saying that fairy boxes were removed all together (even in groups) and yet I went yesterday to TT1-2 squad mode and they were dropping like candy.

    they havent been removed from squad ppl are jsut mad they cant solo it anymore and actually need ppl to open it

    I didn't even notice this myself, and now that I look at it...

    /facepalm

    I'm sorry, but even I know that a change that has that much effect on people should be put into the Patch Notes.

    yes they tend to forget to mention unpopular changes in patch notes, I have noticed. But then again, fairy boxes weren't even mentioned when they were introduced(at least I don't believe they were, I don't remember clearly) so it could be coincidence o.0

    Try to rememeber what it was like at the edge of trying to run TT, when you can first enter it. Your gear is generally below par, you are still trying to scrape up enough to earn pots and a HP Charm? < Not likely.

    Now, tell me how many will go with you on a full TT, to work for your gears. Because even in this we know, most look out for their gears and not yours.

    Solo TT is an instance you can do w/o a charm (lower ones), pots and substandard gear. It is all some have. The mirages was a certainty - something they knew they would get. The mats? Well with solo that is a gamble.

    Before fairy boxes were put in, solo mode was a total waste of time and subs.

    Perfect World is a multi-player game.

    Solo mode anything is generally **** in this game (go run a solo Lunar Glade and see what I mean).

    Get some friends to farm with. Now that you can multi-client without breaking the rules, you only really need ONE friend.

    PWI is turning me into a grumpy old man, I swear..... b:chuckle

    I agree with this. Before fairy boxes my main merchanting was mirages and it was fairly profitable, considering I could do it while afk, but fairy boxes killed the market to the point that I started doing tt just to sell the mirages to the npc b:shocked. I made way more profit buying and selling them before the boxes.
