Does anyone feel like they should leave thier faction-because they cannot do the nine trials? Lots of factions don't have bases and/or don't have the number online or well enough geared players---what happens to them? I've been in my faction for well over a year, and they even have tw land, yet we cant seem to finsih the nine trials...I really want to be able to recast my rank 8
Am I the only one?

Don't leave your faction just for the trials, lol. Not many factions will be able to complete all 3 cycles. Recasting mats can be bought to make up for ones you can't farm. Try recruiting and teaching people the trials, many factionless or in small factions are interested to try it. More than anything, be patient, there aren't even any guides posted yet. Within a couple weeks it should be fairly well known how to complete at least the first cycle if you can get 30-40 people online (more of course if many are under 100).
It's an endgame instance, the fact that it drops rank 8 recast mats and can hold up to 100 people means it will likely take close to 100 r8 people to finish all 3 cycles.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Besides, most factions are going to be selling the main majority of the recasting mats they get, simply because the Trials don't drop enough for everyone in the fac to get. So either way, you're going to end up buying them one way or another.Katzyn, level 101 Demon Veno

Chinese server can finish the whole thing with 5-6 squads of r8/nirv gear. With the overly abundance of r9 on US servers... I highly doubt it'll take anywhere close to 100 to finish. It'll be mostly people refuse to do it for the meager drop rates... especially with the easily access to r9.Katzyn - Sanctuary wrote: »Besides, most factions are going to be selling the main majority of the recasting mats they get, simply because the Trials don't drop enough for everyone in the fac to get. Even if that is the case... it doesn't make sense to sell outside of the guild.1. If I kill you; do something about it yourself, don't go complaining to my wife.
2. If you have less kill counts then me, don't expect me to take pk advice from you.
3. If you are hiding behind an alt, don't expect me to acknowledge your existence.

If you don't have anyone who can afford it, or wants it atm...why wouldn't you sell it outside? The people who participated in getting those mats are going to want a cut asap, so they CAN afford the mats next time. o_o

So you guys do it even when no one can afford/need it. Assuming you run it with 40ish people... just how much is your share anyways. Does it even cover you cost? Considering the opportunity cost... there are better and more profitable ways to torture yourself.
That must be some cheap, short-sighted, and self-centered guildies that you have there... if they were to want their cut asap.1. If I kill you; do something about it yourself, don't go complaining to my wife.

You can buy the mats from other players. Or try to recruit more to your faction.
We do have a 9 Trials guide, but it's on our factions forum only, I'm not sure the person who compiled it wants to share yet. I'll ask later.
Even with +50 participating Trials still take a huge amount of time, because some stages have a 40 minute wait for final mobs to come.Does it even cover you cost? Considering the opportunity cost... there are better and more profitable ways to torture yourself.
I also get a feeling they are going to release the mats in some packs soon.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
We don't do it for the money, either. We do it for the fun of doing and figuring out something new as a faction. And we might as well sell the mats to people who need them, rather than let them rot in our bank, so our people can at least get a little chump change for all the charm **** and repairs they need while we play around in Trials.Katzyn, level 101 Demon Veno

time to try something new~
new opportunities
new people
new activities
lots of people online to do stuff together all the time?
always active chat or vent?
there is only one thing i regret after leaving my small faction i was so fond of
why didnt i leave earlier
you choose when youre ready- when you start thinking about leaving cause your current group isnt playing at your pace anymore you should leave
joining for gear alone? kinda stupid
but hopefully this will drive people into tw factions, making tw more intensei like potato0 -

If you don't do it for the money... then there is absolutely no reason for you to sell the mats outside the guild. I highly doubt there is any guild out there that's 100% r9... so there will always be someone in your guild who can use the mat at the right price. The only reason to sell outside of guild is to get the highest price possible... while not giving it to a guildie for the cheap. Don't believe me... offer to sell it to guildie for 500k... and see if it still doesn't sell in guild.1. If I kill you; do something about it yourself, don't go complaining to my wife.

Hopefully they are doing this, in an effort to lead up to progressive raiding content. It is refreshing to have more activities your faction, and the mates in it to have somthing to do outside of once a week 20 min TWs...
Just a shame, that this raiding content added, is still farm based... Be nice if it was simply progression with keys to unlock zones, each member would need to access, and maybe the end boss drop a small number of tokens that could be traded for gears-re0 -
Worry not they only added all the new content to reward the goons glitchers anyway so I'm sure you will be seeing all the mats for insane prices in cat shops very soon b:laugh0

i dont think those stuffs will sell for insane prices...
keep in mind, those who pay insane prices already have rank9i like potato0 -

6 of my lvl 80+ alts found a home so far with a base, and from them, a total of 20 trials completed in under a week. But only one of those chars had been through all 9 b:chuckle You can do something like this as well. In my opinion, this is a more effective way to farm because the higher trials will cost you more repair fees and charm ticks, and usually takes longer and with more risks of wasting time if the trial fails.
The rewards you get from your quest don't really get much better at higher trials (2 of those rewards chests instead of one chest from the quest for the 9th trial). Just farm the beginning trials in those factions, and accumulate coins/other rare mats you get from the chest and enough warrior seals to trade for higher mats that is trade-able from the forge. If you are lucky, the faction your alt is in might sell those mats to members for a discounted price also.0 -

Why do you feel the need to attack people? Apparently they are not all knowing gods like you. Oh wait just noticed you sig I can see why your over inflated ego would make you think that b:chuckle
It's a proven fact the players in China are much better at this game then you. Shall we say your faction got owned by harpy in the pwic trials. The winners from here lasted how long again? Probably why this first comment upset you so much.
For the second they are most likely talking about how for months pwi has created ranks of lvl 100+ people by allowing the glitching of goons to go on and on. Now they release a new update for lvl 100+ after only doing a few lite bans. Quite a few people see this update as a reward for them when there are many that should be punished. Guilty conscience much ?
Of course mat prices will be sold very high if only a hand full of the factions can even complete the trials. If they meant this is tied in to the goons lvlers or not its pretty much common sense.
Now that being said since some people have issues understanding and interacting with others back to the OP.
With this one being a more active faction reward task I can feel your pain. The one am in is lvl 3, no base, and maybe 20 online at any given time. So we have no chance of getting the trials done at this point and that brings up a loyalty issue. If that's the situation your dealing with alts may be one option as the person above stated. Trying to grow your faction is another possibility. One that is more difficult now with a lot of players only wanting to reap rewards and not put in much effort to obtain them. The whole "lvl me, faster, give me gear, loan me money, that all you got? Ok bye bye" deal most of us are familiar with on here. Some smaller factions will probably fall apart as members leave to find ones that can do the trials. Same thing happened back when bases were added. I will admit the attraction to leave the faction I'm with is there but I'm personally planning on sticking with them until the day when we can get the trials done.0 -

Did you see the sig on the post I was responding to? Lemme quote: "Retired as of February 26, 2011
** If I can one shot you with my OUT DATED gear... do not expect me to pay attention to whatever you are saying."
All my signature has is a pic of my psychic, without any gear on, and it says my class, level and faction, along with what is meant to be a humorous reference to the fact that psychics are small and hit hard. That's hardly in the same league of arrogance as the signature in the post I was supposedly "attacking".
Thank you, however, for the above lesson on "attacking", I apparently have a lot to learn, as I didn't think to personally insult the one I was responding to, nor their friends. I simply asked if they had the full story (as much of the "information" about the Chinese version is suspect, to say the least) in a slightly sarcastic tone perhaps.b:chuckle
It's a proven fact the players in China are much better at this game then you.
Thanks for that, I wouldn't have guessed a country with a population over 1 billion might have someone who's better than me...... geez.....
Shall we say (6 people from) your faction got owned by harpy in the pwic trials.
After taking down an increased life Harpy in less than half the time the "winning team" had for their regular one, and being forced to restart without time to rebuff or apoth to cool.
The winners from here lasted how long again?
As long as they were meant to, being given little to no instruction on when and what to do in the actual competition. Why would China allow an international team to win? Oh yeah, PWE is fair and impartial in all it's actions, I forgot.
Probably why this first comment upset you so much.
I wasn't upset by it, I just wanted to know if it was really true, and if so, how to do it. 5 squads of r8/nirvana geared people from my faction just failed the 3rd trial on god mode, because we literally did not do enough damage to the mobs before they reached the towers. I was wondering how 5 squads from China with the same gear could do 2x the damage.
Not at all, I got my levels "legitimately", in fact I leveled primarily with rebirth delta and AoE 3rd map grinding because I dislike FC, there is no need to abuse glitches to reach 100. If you were at all familiar with my previous posts on this topic you'd realize I am quite firmly against goon glitched hyper leveling nabs. I do, however, take issue with lumping the 100-102s in with the obviously glitched 104/105s that have appeared in a matter of months. Zarni was born the day the tideborn surfaced, I could have hit this level entirely with regular world mobs and training esos for all you know. It is easy to hit 100 in 1-2 months with regular 12x hyper FC and world map mobs. The exp required from 103-105 is over ten times the total amount required from 1-100, that would mean 2 months to 100, 2 years to 105. It's obvious who the glitchers are, but 100 isn't the number that makes it so.
Of course mat prices will be sold very high if only a hand full of the factions can even complete the trials. If they meant this is tied in to the goons lvlers or not its pretty much common sense. As has been pointed out several times already on the forums in the last few days, many of the lower level trials can be completed by a small number of people, completing the full set is not a requirement to reforge gear. Small factions can reforge too, it may just take longer (as everything tends to in smaller factions anyway). Mat prices will be determined by the market as with all else, look for them to be comparable to the cost of g15 nirvana, as that's the gear they are most similar to and the price people are willing to pay for that has already been established. Again, this has nothing to do with the dragoon glitch, people just like to take any opportunity to complain about their pet peeve (in this case, people leveling fast, or at all past 103).
Now that being said since some people have issues understanding and interacting with others back to the OP.
Referring to oneself as "some people" may not be a good sign..... JK.... Seriously though, relax...... Since I was originally telling people to refrain from commenting on things they didn't fully understand, I find your comments particularly amusing.

Here I admire your determination. If you do have 20 online at a time, your faction is big enough to work together and farm enough to get a base, do the required quests to upgrade it, and complete at least some of the trials. It will take a lot of work, I ain't going to lie. Farming full 2nd cast nirvana or r9 for all your core active members would be easier, the base itself is asstastically expensive. I also understand not wanting to miss out on content. My first character is a cleric, an exec in a faction smaller than yours, when I wanted to experience content that my faction wasn't up to or even really interested in I made an alt and joined a bigger faction with it. I love my little home faction, but there is no motivation in it to experience endgame, so I help there when there's people on but my psychic has become my "main". I'd recommend talking seriously with your members about their goals then considering if farming nirvana or coin for rank gear would fit their goals better than 9 trials>r8 recasting.
Ok, gonna go play now, no more feeding trolls for me.....Deceptistar - Sanctuary wrote: »chances are your not the only one who wants recasts. So if your looking to get handouts from ANY faction doing trials your in for a long line ahead of you.

I did all trials up to 3-2. Did not miss one up to that point. Once I sold my mats I had made around 31 mil. That's only from the items that I got from the chest rewards.
While doing the trials I went through 1 plat charm. I find it neat that I can make money on a non-aps char. The trials are hard to do and I just like being on vent with my faction talking about dumb stuff while we do them. The money is worth it and just the general faction bonding of it b:chuckleTY for my shiney new R9 PWE b:chuckle
