    I will concede (but only under these special circumstances) that Claymore *may* be somewhere in the realm of DBZ. Like, maybe wiping its a$$. BUT that is ALL I will concede. And ONLY because it's an anime of girls wielding massive swords ripping apart huge monsters while screaming like they have constipation.

    I gotta give points to Elfenlied. The hero of the show kills off the stereotypical "annoying clumsy, cutesy girl who's in love with the hot anime guy" by ripping her head off with telekinesis, then picking up her dead mutilated body and using it to shield herself from bullets. And that was just the 1st episode.


    Also Gun X Sword...Bravo to the writers for somehow developing a decent story that involves "gundams".

    Plotwise, Naruto isn't disappointing at all :/ The plot has very good twists, and it's very entertaining...one thing I don't understand about people who just hate on anything that becomes mainstream is that it seems like they just discount things because they got maintream (?). "Naw man, that's mainstream". Things only become popular enough to be mainstream when they have some level of appeal sufficient to keep a wide audience of people interested -- now that may not mean that it's well written, or w/e, but in most cases it's at least of a certain minimum quality. Many times something very excellent becomes mainstream, just the same way garbage can also become largely mainstream.

    Idk brah, dudes hatin on Naruto, but it's a really good read. Major plot twists include the point when Madara explained to Sasuke that Itachi was hired by the ANBU to assassinate his clan; the recent revelation that Tobi isn't Madara and that he and Madara are apparently on opposing sides of a struggle.

    Soul Eater is nearing its close now, but it has always been amazing. Etc, etc...basically, read manga cos they're good reads, and don't skip one because of something somebody told you about it :|

    Ah right, that's the other thing: I don't have time to watch anime, so I read manga, and manga tends to be shorter, more plot focused, and more concise than the anime serialization, so idk, maybe that's a factor.
