Wizzy R8 vs Psyquic R8

Which is the best class between Wizzy and Psyquic for pvp/pk WITH ONLY R8 set, so Psyquic only ll have like 15k-17k of soulforce...... Vote now with arguments b:chuckle

(Im not saying was a battle between that races only, really is Wizzy vs the world and Psyquic vs the World ........ and with same +0 to +5 refines and same player). ty for help b:thanks

Dph = Wiz
DPS = Psy

Unless thier in white voodoo most Psys wont live, and if they are in white, thier damage is close to negligible, Stone barrier raises earth defenses, and getting Aqua bubble (I think) makes you immune to water


Also, mystics, clerics and venos are pretty dam good for PvP.

mystics are terrible at solo pvp
so are veno's
clerics do ok
wizzies do ok
psys do ok

if i was you, i'd go to ecatomb and read over the skills carefully. i'd watch some pvp vids from each class. then i'd make my desicion based on hwo you play and what appeals to you. culti makes a pretty big difference as well

Wizard in my opinion.

Psychics obviously shine once they achieve r9, but you've clearly stated that isn't an option. I feel that r8 psys with +10 weps are pretty good, but don't quite have the KO power that a wizard does against equally geared opponents.

Also I imagine that you want to do TW on your new main? In which case wizard is the clear cut winner with r8. Psys have more spammable aoe's, but wizards are just way more fun and useful. In TW we're pretty tough to kill, we're pretty decent at picking people off one by one with our longer casting skills, and our ultimates are game changers.

Now to be fair to the psychic class, they're useful as well. In white voodoo, with a +10 wep, and SoS or SoR on, you're pretty decent at surviving stealth ganks. SoS forces the sin to use their anti stun, which leaves them open to earth vector if you survive the opening stun. Not to mention soul of silence procs a decent enough amount that you can sometimes get lucky. Also psychics will makes you immune to phys damage which is obviously amazing.
TW wise, as I said before psychics have spammable aoes. You won't have the KO power of wizards, but you can aoe stun and paralyze groups of players which definitely makes you a threat.
Plus soulburn has got to be the funniest skill in the game. You can soulburn a cleric and watch them kill themselves by trying to heal the cata b:chuckle

actually i know a psy who has +10 r8 weap and +5r8/tt99 gear. he does super well in tw against pretty muche everything r9 included. he fairs ok in pvp, some sins still **** him of course though. but i wouldnt say psy's arent good unless r9+12. excluding the occasional one shot due to low hp psys are very very hard to take down when played correctly.

Overall I'd say at r8 with +5 on gear and +10 on the wep...a wizzy would be my choice. Though that is because they are more channel based so you can just stack up some nice -chan gear on them and go to town, while psychic's are most cast based and there is nothing that reduces their cast time .

Though a +10 r8 wep psy and +10 r8 wep wizzy...the damage isn't very far apart and if you can afford some DoD or DoT in the r8 gear then I am pretty damn sure the psychic would over-take the wizzy in white voodoo, but would probably fall back a little in black voodoo.

cant beat teh psys survivability skills. endgame wizzie shines as being able to take any other class out 1v1. psys not so much. when you dont have much hp or much pdef/def lvl psy would be the way to go imo. had tt90/99/r8 +5-6 set myself with r8 weap +10. wasnt all that helpful to have hte weap because most anythign but bm's or barbs could kill me. At least on a psy you have the charm buff, channeling debuff for casters who attack you, soulburn for aps DD's, psy will for immune to damage. way better then what a wizzie has on a lower gear bracket.

BLOODMYSTIC - Archosaur

Psychic - hands down, no contest.

pick any archer or HA class and any r8 wizard and r8 psychic - watch the difference. Psychic has WAY more and WAY better 1 vs 1 pk skills than a wizard does.

Wizards are for TW if super geared (these days, rank 8 isn't super geared).

Psychics are better for everything else (TW with less than super gear, pk, even pve).

Ok, I'd still take a wizard on something like rebirth, but thats it for pve.
