Have you ever wondered how you stack up against the strongest players on your server? The new Damage Ranking feature should help reveal at least one part of what constitutes real power - brute strength.
If you're level 95+, and at either Demon or Sage Cultivation, you'll be able to try your hand at reaching #1 in the damage rankings. Simply head over to the Sage Envoy of Justice (129, 856) or Demon Envoy of Justice (129, 862) in the City of a Thousand Streams and take the "Test Your Power" quest.
At a cost of 20,000 Coins, you will be given six minutes to defeat a non-aggressive illusion monster. This foe has 1,000,000 HP, and he will be regenerating health, so defeating him may be a tall task for the weak. However, if you do defeat him, your strongest blow will be recorded and placed among the server rankings, which can also be seen at the NPC.
I LIKE the idea for this.

Dunno, its the single largest hit thats recorded so an R9 wiz or Psy might be the one to take the title. Maybe even a mystic with that double damage dealio.0 -

A full r9 sin hit wyvern for 750k yday, and this mob will only have 1m hp. I think they can manage. b:avoidBladedZero - Sanctuary

My lil wiz can hit 100k with a triple sparked MS undine at the moment on nab monsters. Assuming its not a [?] grade mob im pretty sure any half decent player can drop a million HP in 6 minutes.
Hell my Sin can do it and shes "fail". (2.22).
~That does depend on the regen however, il admit that. Im going to assume its not regenning 2k HP a second and its more like 200.0 -

Emmmm maybe I should of mentioned I wanted to do this using my Veno, who is not R9 nor OP, same with my Mystic, Psy and Cleric.
For me, it is seeing if I can take down a mob and do as good as others in my class. It's also fun and new. I figured using this Sin would be no real challenge but for my alts, yes...0 -

Well thats true... but tell me Okeano... when you see a child on the sidewalk eating candy, do you grab it from them, shouting "You'll thank me later, it will just rot your teeth !"
Only two off the alts I mentioned have any refines and one is very low, the other just +5. I still want to have fun with it and maybe try....0 -

True, but il probably go play with it just to see how much I can do each time I upgrade my stats significantly.

Looks like a stupid content update. There is almost no point to this besides having the ability to say the game is still being updated. Add new pointless features that could be done in a day so csers can continue to justify wasting money.I like to rub it in. Enjoying the game?

don't think 1 mil hp in 6 minutes is really that hard to do. Remember the old times where you went through cube at level 50-60 and had to kill those two big hp bosses? that even took me less then 6 minutes on my level 60 barb with TT60 axes +3 :PI'm famous! i'm on ecatomb0 -
As someone who dabbled in MMO damage records before, I'd say that the best way to do this would be to separate damage records by class.0

I did this quest this morning:
Issues
1. The mob spawns right beside by the Elder in 1k
2. I tried to click on the elder & accidently clicked a mob, who started damaging me
3. The mobs that were not killed hung around, making it very difficult to click on the Elder to talk to him, for new location quest
4. When my mob spawned, I could not tell which one it was to do the quest
5. From what I saw, anyone can hit the mobs
I thought this might be a thing where they talked to an NPC (the Elder) and was pulled into an instance with the mob. Did their hits and then talked to the NPC again to leave. The NPC would have a link to display rankings. I figured it might be just a very small room, only for that one specific person and the mob.
Sorry but I don't like this. When I got there to do the quest there was about 10 + of these mobs milling around - I did not notice if they had any time in which they faded and no longer existed. People also gather in that general area for GV and this is going to be messy...0 -

you take the quest, a mob spawns right next to you and you kill it...

Other people cant hit the mobs, I tried hitting one and I got to casting and just stopped and did ntohing.
But yeah, christ its making 1k laggy. I thought itd be a micro instance too, or at least somewhere not busy >_>0 -

You dont have to oneshot it. Its got the hp so you can apply debuffs that come with damage (I.E DG, Subsea) and have more than one attempt per summon...0 -

I like the idea behind it, but not the execution...
We need a little booth to walk in, pull a curtain shut, maybe take a snapshot, aim at the mob > -bam- > then results come out the tiny compartment to the left and ... that sounds familiar...
How about set a small zone set aside that's marked off - like a bulls-eye and we stand at the end, pick up the big mallet, swing it, and try to make the bell rin... wait... nevermind...
