How does this skill actually work? Is a frosty blade strength determined the wizards base mag attack or the one who it is cast on? Also Base magic attack is the attack in the char window with no equiptment on-is that correct?

If I remember the skill description correctly:

Frosty Blade: Place an icy sheen on a squad member's weapon, causing
their weapons to look shiny. Lasts 15 minutes.

    :p

Well assuming you just dont know, its x% of the buffees (The person with the buff on them) weapon damage added to their attack.

Tho, that shouldnt be hard to guess, if it was % of the users base magic attack everyone would go Demon R8 for the Triple Sparked Demon Frostblade use.

Like, 10k Water damage PER HIT. Give that to a 5aps and holy **** lol. Glad its not programmed that way x_x

Thank you, and obviously I don't even have a wizard yet-so didn't have a clue.

Truthfully I was considering fcing a wizard to do nothing but buff me with frosty blade, and if this is how it works then I don't need to invest anything in the wizards gear. I'm geussing it'll probably cost me 20 hypers or so, a cheap aero gear, and I'll have a dedicated buffer.

The only real use of it beside giving 20 chi as sage/demon version really is giving a melee character a tool to stun through expel or psy will. Oh and it makes your hand shiny!

Part of me wishes it was, I'd get into NV for mah buffs <3

but yea, other than making your wep shiny, its used to allow melees to stun through expel and Psy will.

Sure, why not, it probably cost me 15 hypers or less and a few hours. The amount of coin to learn the spell and a cheap flyer so my buffer is mobile. I already have a veno, barb, cleric, sin, archer, and im the bm. Not sure what other buffer is left to make as the rest don't seem to have good party buffs, but I have plenty of room on my two accounts and wifes two accounts.

    Bu.. its.... huh????

Its not a completely useless buff, granted, but why the hell would you even take the time to log an alt for it?

level 75 is the level at which frostblade can be lvl 10. That's going to take more than "a few hours."

Ijs it doesn't make much sense. If you want to level a wizard for a TW fac, I understand. But to give yourself an extra bit of water damage...?

Either that's sarcasm or you know of a leveling method that I don't that's better than FC/JFC.

I just want to make sure I understand about the Frostblade (new to PWI here and MMOs in general). The description says it is based on the caster's magic attack, but it is really based on the recipients physical attack?

    What is this....I don't even....

How many times has this thread been made? Anyone keeping count? Is it OVER 9000?

    Fine....

Frostblade (lvl 10) is like a nerfed, longer lasting version of sin's condensed thorn and the amount of +waterdamage they get is based on THEIR base physical attack. I will never post that again. b:chuckle

Wow..... of all the possible buffs to plvl an alt for. b:question

I think just about any other class would be more valuable as a buff slave.

    Barb - hp buff
    BM - Bell
    Cleric - obvious
    Seeker - def/atk lvl buff
    Veno - bramble
    Sin - bp
    Mystic - green ball thing
    Archer - evasion buff
Psychic - ... ? ok, maybe there's one worse choice for a class to lvl because of their squad buff.
