im new to the game and i have a few questions

im new to the game and i have a few questions

1: are people friendly to newcomers

2: the pvp and pve thing i saw in the beginners guide if somebody wants to fight me do i have to fight them

3: can all characters fly?

4: i read in beginners guide you can get a pet from a quest is it perm?

    1.) Pends some are, most aren't.

    2.) PvP Server automatically puts you in PK Mode after lvl 30.

    3.)After lvl 30 yes but Winged Elve race may fly at lvl 1. (Lowest everyone can fly is lvl 10 with cash shop wings. Which are $15-20 Gold ~ $20 USD cash card.)

    4.) Venomancers gain a Pet at lvl 7. Yeah it is permanent and may fight for you. other class pets are called baby pets. They cannot fight, more for decoration.

    Not if you join a PvE server. PK there is optional (except for only two areas, one of which will be PvE again soon).

    All classes have a temporary flight "mount" at level 15 from the stash

    Didn't mention that mystics also get there first summon pet at level 7

    I don't get what you were expecting from an MMO if you didn't have to "fight" :/

    well i dont want to pvp everyday if i wanted to pvp everyday i would play a fighting mmo

    Other you can avoid. :) Just gives Pet scrolls and Swimwear.

    Granted more PvPers in there doesn't care too much in there.

    Players in PvP Server - Pk Mode (hence PvP) - Most likely. Best to get a Guild.
    Players in PvE Server - Optional PK mode - Only if you dare PK mode.

    Sp was a bad idea imo too cause 5k to enter is BS. I usually made less the that per day around then.
    Granted I dislike grinding.

    lol 5k to port into SP isn't that much :/

    Truthfully said, if I was to make a lvl 2x toon and needed to enter SP i'd just kill a few mobs out at the mine and be done with it~

    whos the aero gear for? and im thinking of being a assasin or a warrior do i get aero gear with those 2 classes? how do i get perm pets

    Depends. Some are nice, others couldn't give a **** less.

    There are two types of servers, the first is PvE. This means that you can stay blue name and not have to PK (Except inside PK enabled rooms in cube, and SP (Secret Passage, though this is supposedly going to be reverted)), unless you want to turn white name and PK. Which to do that there will be a little button on your mini-map that you click and can turn white name (WARNING: YOU CAN NOT TURN BACK TO BLUE UNTIL AFTER 10 HOURS HAVE PASSED FROM YOU CLICKED THE BUTTON).
    Then there is a PvP server, which means the moment you hit lvl 30 you are white name no matter what and are whiten name from then on. Only 29 and below are blue name in a PvP server.

    The same is said for a PvE server, but instead of being automatically white name at lvl 30 you are allowed to chose if you want to be or not by that button.

    3: can all characters fly?
    Yes all classes can fly but only the Winged Elves can fly from lvl 1. The rest of the races can fly as early as lvl 10 if you want to buy a 15-20 USD (United State Dollar) aerogear from the boutique, or 15 if you don't mind waiting for the supply stash. But the supply stash one is limited to 3 or 7 days idr.
    But after that supply stash flyer runs out and you haven't bout a flyer from the boutique, the only other way to get one is the hit lvl 30 and take the fly quest from the Arch elder.

    4: i read in beginners guide you can get a pet from a quest is it perm?
    Veno's get perm pets at lvl 7 from a quest
    Mystics get perm summons at lvl 7 from a quest also
    All other classes that have pets, have what are called "Baby Pets" which mean they are just for decoration and can't do anything but show off the amount of cash you have. Where as the pets for the venos and mystics can attack, defend, and help out their "master".

    lol, np. I started on a PvE server and transitioned to a PvP server almost a year ago now

    but yeah, I had to learn probably all those questions the hard way (minus flying...lol).

    Oh, a tip! If you are debating between a sin and a Blademaster (warrior), go sin. Squishy until probably lvl 59 but after that they are good and then at 89 they become insane.

    On a PvE server you can choose to PVP some days, and choose not to on some days. Your ability to PvP is at your sole discretion, but once you choose to turn on PvP mode you must leave it on for 10 hours. On a PvP server you are always in PVP mode and can be killed anytime after level 30.

    They confused you here with a incident that happened in a dungeon that became PK territory. The 5k fee is to teleport to 2nd part where you will have a boss to kill at lvl 29. Don't let that mix you up. It's free to join a faction (some do have requirements though).

    On a PvE server, you can put "PK mode" at on as you wish, but then you are stuck in it for 10 hours before putting it off.

    On a PvP server, as soon as you are lvl 30, anybody and anyone can attack you on sight, there's no ON/OFF.
    Proud supporter of the new expansion. Sure it has it's share of bugs, like any games. But for a pure farmer/grinder, that's a whole lot of new mobs to go beat up b:chuckle
