    Not really...

    They used PWI as an example, it's no different than using some other game as an example. The only thing that would be mildly amusing is the fact that both games are run by the same company, however both games feature different styles of play, different communities, and entirely different economies so the comparison is still valid. I don't really see how it's funny, but whatever.

    Sorry if I wasn't clear about what was funny to me Zan, but it was this. There are too few coin sinks in PWI, and the ones that they do have are horrible. The best coin sink that they've added was the Ring Engraving, in my opinion, and if they improve upon that to allow 2 stats to be added to rings, I'll be extremely happy.

    However, there does need to be more.

    It's more of a tiny token/coin/mirage sink if you ask me.

    Crazy Stone probably still takes the cake for biggest coin sink (even though it's not quite as popular as it used to be at higher levels), and the upcoming rank 8/9 recast seems to cost ~20m coins per part too (at least for the first recast, not sure if the retrying for stats costs coins too) so that's possibly a nice coin sink too.

    Maybe he/she actually played shortly after beta, because back then NPC potions, skill levels (getting every skill to 10 would cost you 200-300 dollars depending on your class in comparison), CS etc. still took huge amounts of money out of the game and it also took quite a while for all the territories to be conquered and thus no ~500m (?) coins being put weekly into the economy, and that was roughly 5000 dollars back then. You had all those coin sinks versus coins generated by drops being sold to NPC's.

    So... PWI actually did have quite a few good coin sinks, it's just that they were made entirely obsolete by ToBL.

    There's a lot of coin sinks in pwi, but the quoted person mentioned gold sinks and the only one i can think of is the gold you lose when you put your gold for sale in the AH. Other than that, there's really not "too many gold sinks".

    The monetary system which that player was most familiar with, FW's, is done in Gold, Silver, and Bronze pieces. This could be where he pulled the idea of "gold" as opposed to "coin". Just throwing that out there.b:bye
