Lag/Sticky Issues

MikoKitty - Harshlands

Okay here's my problem: the game used to run really well, like perfectly, even on high graphics. Then I quit playing because i started college and got really really busy and didn't have time for it. I logged in after not playing for about 3 months and now I have this issue where the game kind of sticks. I run, stick, i run, stick. It gets worse when I am attacking something. Higher graphics doesn't make it any better or worse. I would really like help with this issue please. Let me know if you need any more information.

If you're on Windows 7 or Vista, set all of the .exe files for the client to run with administrator rights in compatibility settings.

Do a clean install of your video drivers. (Preferably downloaded from the source, not windows update)

If that doesn't work, system specs and a dxdiag output would be helpful.

The only thing that I really see there is the ffdshow video encoder. It has a tendency to load with the intro video, stay active, and cause localized lag with the game. Aside from that, it could be a process running that's causing the issue. I would need to see a HiJackThis log for that.

Also, don't forget to set the .exe files for the client to run as administrator. This is particularly important when you're running Windows 7. Especially after the last patch.
