Help me! oh great char designers!

Hello beutiful people that spends alot of time exploring the character creation thingy and all of you who mastered the secret art of... .INI edit b:chuckle

I really suck at this, that's the awful truth b:surrender
so I humbly request some help.

I never like the toons I make and I still have the makeover scroll from that quest so I thought to ask for some advices from the people who knows best before the "changing".

Here is my wizzie (don't laugh):



(I don't know why the pic is so ugly... I mean I think it looks better in the game, I don't know why is so pixelated... and turning it into jpg make it worst)

ok, here is the thing:

that's gonna be my "forever" outfit, I'm not really into fashion I just really hate the level 50+ male arcane armor b:laugh

and I was thinking on losing the long hair and make something more... manly (the fash doesn't help much I know lol).

I don't know how this is going to work actually, I'm gonna need you to post the presets or a ss of the char creation screen or just a pic for reference.

Disclaimer: I'm not necessarily going to choose a complete design, I just want some ideas.

so what do you think? can you help me out?

You should try to give more detail, like colour scheme, what hair styles you really dont want, etc. I might try to make you a char later today if I dont have a TW to go to o.e

let's see...

I want a manly, sort off "realistic" look for a kick-**** wizard (that means no strange-emo-waaay-too-modern hairstyles, no green hair or something like that lol), is doesn't have to be hardcore real, just... kind off (I can't explain myself better sorry).

Imagine this: TW, you running around killing people and suddenly... BT is going down to you and my face is the last thing you see b:cool


other thing: I barely touch the face, if I start messing around I end up **** it lol, so some advices on that area is needed too b:surrender

but away from that, knock yourself out. b:victory

this seemed like a fun thing to take a try at....until i started making guy toons look different is so hard without making them look strange (well at least for me)
so this is what i came up with
and with out armor and just the shorts

(i noticed that they stand a bit weird like the fem cleric.)
i also made him with darker ash skin and black hair. but both have a red color eye. i chose the bald cause alot of the male hair looks well to fussy for a guy. i didnt change the body much from the preset other than make head a bit bigger and torso and waist near the same size. figure a wiz shouldnt be a big buff dude sence no need for muscles. i think of him as a older stronger Krillin.i saved his codes that i can message ya with if ya ever want any of the features.

btw remember that fash adds on to their bulk so the body size just depends if you want him to be wearing fash or not

curious thing: i said I wanted a manly look and (almost) all you made a bearded char

I wasn't even considering beards, but now I am b:victory

I've seen good things on all your pics so I'm gonna end up making a mash-up or something. I was right on seeking advice on the forums.

@dimthough: krillin FTW! my fav dbz char!

but I'm not sure if bald is the way to go with my current fash (event boutique so... I'm stuck with it till the end of days lol)

if you have the codes saved send it to me, I like the tough guy look on it.

@Astraea: he looks very natural I think I'm going with that beard thing, but the hairstyle... mmh... it doesn't convince me (hair is the hardest part for me, is very difficult for me to find something I like)

@Amoreaux: he looks so gentle... no way he could be on TW bringing damnnation.

I'm kinda afraid to ask but... what is a BAMF face??

And yeah, I'm thinking of giving him a "good" body because of the shirtless thing (I'm too cheap to buy another piece of fashion, and I don't have to worry about color matching either lol) but I think I exagerate a bit on my current look.

@KuiXing: again he looks like a nice boy, I want him a bad boy... bad boy b:sin

but I do like the face shape, nose and lips (except that glow on the upper lip... what is that? lol) and the hair... strange enough I kinda like it, I should play around with that a bit.

and yes, they stand weird, even the way my wiz holds it's glaive is weird, it looks like his wrist is dislocated or something lol

@AmmeeesbfC: yeah that's a bad **** look, I could use those eyes and the mouth expresion. Hair and chin beard... not that much lol

I was planning on making a new char for the KrittyCat contest so I'm gonna do some experiments on it first and I will post some pics so you all can tell me what do you think (tonight maybe).

I know I was saying that I wanted a realistic look but now I'm thinking of some strange thinks too lol like dark red hair or white eyes (I don't know if can be done).
I was thinking that the eyes are the most important thing on the look I seek, and according to all the anime I've seen the best way for a wizard to express his power is... white eyes b:chuckle but maybe is just too weird.

I can't believe I'm making so much fuzz about a flipling char creation, but I must admit is pretty fun.

lol definitely bamf face, but not bamf ugly, bamf cool this is pwi after all b:chuckle

and eyes color: now are red, I was leaving them like that for now, or trying white scary ones i don't know, hair is tricky I spend most of the time looking for something I like with not much success, surprise me, colors: dark ones, even red or blue, but nothing too flashy.

If you'd like I can send you the ini file for him. You might also consider getting a wig since you'll be wearing that particular fashion. Some of the haircuts in the event boutique are better than the ones available through char customization. Here is with haircuts 6 and 7 as well.

My graphic card isnt the best so it does that to the lips :I and yea, Im not that great at making male chars xD the only other one I created that looked good is my hubbys char, lol.

ok, I did some experiments on a new char and this is all I could do T_T



I'm trying to find some dark red for the hair but is too dificult, there is a way to find the code of colors and change it manuallly on the .ini? not cheating, just to easily find a particular color from the palette.

again I made him with blue hair, but the hair colors from the palette are mostly too weird I don't know what to pick QQ

what do you think?

I'm failing on the "bad guy" look but I guess the final design would be something like that, I don't want to abuse of your kindness to a non-iniciated like me

This one looks yummy aswell. Though I do prefer the first one's facial hair more. ;p
And for some reason Fulcanelli's last post quoting didn't go well, but I should pick the dark black colour for his (facial) hair. Atleast my opinion is I don't like redheads. ;p

There are a few wigs available in the event boutique. If you're able to do any of the events you can get one for really cheap. You can also get event gold from the dq items gradually. And with both of those you make money rather than lose it. You have less options but still cheap is good right? XD And I sent you the ini file, check your pms.

I still have some event gold but I'm saving it for a new flyer. To me is:

flyer > fash b:victory

if I can't find what I'm looking for (what I'm looking for?) I guess that wigs is my only choice.

I was talking about the pics. ;p You could also make it between dark blue and black. What I mean is the dark blue colour you had on your last pic and then darker till it's almost black. ;p

ok, it's done. I don't know exactly what I did but... no regrets now b:chuckle

I played with the designs that you gave me, change alot of things, made like 5 presets to choose from and then test it out on my wiz.

went with a "common" hairstyle blue almost black, and just black with the facial hair. Kinda mean "white" eyes, and a different face shape. And I think I fix the body, just changed slightly the preset one to be sure to not **** it up lol

There isn't a direct reference to your designs but they helped alot, I start considering things that never think of before, and if this wiz turns out somewhat cool is because of you all (just "somewhat" because I was there to **** things up lol).

I know is not an original design, and I know I didn't listen to all of your advices but this is significant better than my previous one. At least give me that.

The lips are kinda strange but I think is just my crappy pc, I had a final preset but I had to change it QQ I might mess up the mouth a little, but wth.

thanks! and the shiny lips I'm guessing is a light thing, I have another ss with my wiz facing the sunlight and it doesn't look so bad, although the mouth is kinda too big lol
