hi im 30 yrs old and i made this thread because i cant seem to find anyone my age ingame to talk to. Also whenever any guy finds out my age they run a mile b:sad just lf someone to talk to enjoy game with i have one friend so far and hes 17 lol nice guy so if any adults ingame wanna add me chat say hi etc feel free kinda feeling a bit lonely.

    i wont freak out :D if i still had my client installed id be happy to talk ^-^ after all most people that are my age cant even spell right...

    wait is my grammar terrible? o.o or people my age? most of the time on the computer i happen to spell things shorter in the 'text language', and can happen to use meme terms like 'Y U NO' or 'u mad, bro?' from time to time o-o

    b:laugh You may find it hard to believe, but, you're still just "kids" compared to some players on the servers. I've actually met some players in their mid-60's. I've even run into families with 3 generations playing this game on our server.

    There is a whole faction of older players here on the Dreamweaver server, you should see if there is an equivalent to that on your server.

    highest ive seen is 40s xD but thats about it. my grandparents would never play this game...hell...my siblings are against it. they say im too attached (which i slightly am), but well, its not having any bad effects on my life, so what's the problem? D:

    ...They say that about me too - but that's while they watch junk on t.v, so I throw it straight back at them. My argument is that, within this game amongst everything else, we at least interact and communicate with people, which is more than what happens when you watch t.v.

    ...and as to age, I've never told people my age, but what I will tell you is that I recieved the first Atari (the one before the 2600) brand new for a birthday present once (a while back)...

    You should check out the Faction I'm in Nocturne which is on Heavens Tear. It is specifically a Mature player faction and is quite active.

    I'm not an officer but I'm sure the faction would be happy to have you.

    lol telling ppl my age doesnt bother me only the ppl i tell lol which is mainly the guys
    who flirt with me (wouldnt mind if were nearer my age lol)

    Too bad you are not on Sanctuary, I am part of that "mature" crowd as well b:chuckle

    In fact, Sanctuary has a very well known faction called the Oldies. They have been around for the past 3 years , have a great reputaion, and were even on the map for a while. All the Oldies that I have run into have been a pleasure to meet. I am sure you would find lots of good people there.

    On a side note....Come-on Oldies, lets see you gain back that land!...we are cheering for ya b:pleased

    I had a weird experience with that once. The guy actually got upset and said something along the lines of "If you don't like me you should just say so, you shouldn't lie about your age."

    51y old male here.

    The reason you dont hear much from us is we have gotten old enough to understand we dont know all the answers, unlike so many of our less mature friends, who know they are always right.

    It is also not worth posting mature advise to improve the maturity of this game as the player base is so young and mostly immature players.

    I am not being rude but most of the people born the same day as me are dead, look it up and you find about 1or2 in 100 still alive today of those wordwide who were born on my birth year 1960.

    The player base probably reflects real life, where youth will always be over represented because of real life births/deaths rate.

    I can see how this leads a company such as PWI to make what appear to be stupid descisions from a mature age players point of view.

    The immaturity of the player base can easily be seen when they make comments such as
    "you need to experiance PK to understand how much fun it is"
    when talking to someone who has been playing PC games as longer than the other person has been alive.

    I am reminded of this every day when dealing with my 8y old and she tells her dad he is wrong thats not how it works.

    I have to remind myself that one day she will not be so sure she is right all the time and she will at last have began to grow more mature.

    Lets hope both the player base and PWI mature, so like me its still around in 51ys for all to enjoy.

    But by the way things feel, like most youths it will die before it reachs full maturity because like most youths its only listerning to its peers and itself, rather than those who have been there done that.

    A last thought not all young people are immature just most, and not all aged are mature just most.

    Good luck on finding mature friends.

    there are people of all ages on HT server. I myself am 30 also, but i've played with people as young as 14 on up into the late 60s or more. i know a few families that play ( 2 and 3 generations worth in a family that play together, sometimes). Welcome and hope you make some friends :)
