About soloing

Hi there!

I always see levelling a wizard to 20 challenging mainly because of it's low hp.
1.)I wonder if it's really my equipment? I only use quest equipments and some npc.
2.)Is upgrading here have a significant increase like from no plus to +1? do you guys upgrade your equips when you were a lowbie like me?
3.)I've read of people soloing fb19 at levels 20 above >.< Do they upgrade their equips? Ever since, I didn't really taught of upgrading my equips as I see it as "waste of time, why not upgrade later?"

1) You use arcane armor, so no matter how good your equips under level 20 are, it won't make a huge difference in your physical defense. Now your weapon could be another issue, as a good weapon can make the difference between a 1-2 hit kill and a 3-4 hit kill, but quest weapons should do you fine for the lower levels I would think.

2) You really shouldnt + your gear at those low levels, you'll outgrow it soon enough.

3) I'm not sure what classes these people who said they soloed their fb19 at 20 are, but if anyone could do it maybe venomancers or possibly a very nicely geared bm or barb? The monsters in there attack in mobs and have so much hp, I can't really see anyone soloing it except for those few classes unless they are using pots like Charlie Sheen uses cocaine.

I LOL'ED on that one. But besides that, he is correct. Wizards only start getting ok at lv90++

Edit, dont forget to put Jones Blessings on, they help a lot.

I would like to say that leveling up to 20 is still much better than 20-30, that's the worst part ._.
but don't worry, past 40 it will feel better b:cute

1. It seems you don't need to buy any expensive equipment that early, the gear set from elder bleesing quest is enough for a while, just wear that until it expired.. for the weapon, the one that you get from stash is good.

2. I'm not sure, I don't upgrade my armor too.

3. I think soloing fb19 at lvl 20 with a wiz is almost impossible.. I tried at 29, and failed pretty bad. At 39 and wearing jones blessing I'm able to do it but it take a lot of time and I used a lot of pots and some chaos powder.. And I didn't wear any upgraded armor back then. just make sure that you bring tons of pots, and a few chaos powder.. Use chaos powder only when facing the boss.. And you must have zeal genie to lure mobs there..

So, I think upgrading is not really important at lvl 20ish.. Even now when I'm 50, I only upgrade my weapon ( to +1) -_-
