Cube Infighting Rooms

If your an archer and you land in the infighting room with attacker waiting you have a 1 in 3 chance at best. The reason PWI has blessed archers with a mele attack penalty. Additionally the room is a shoe box. Funny how PWI always seems to put archers at a disadvantage. So thanks for nothing PWI.b:angry

    Reverse what you are saying.

    If you land in that room and an archer is waiting for you at a distance, or on the other side of the fate ball and blasts you away......melees have no chance. Not fair. QQ PWI.

    Maybe I just haven't met the right people yet, but it seems to me that the Infighting rooms were tailor-made for high-HP characters.

    I always enter the room running in tiger-form, and if anybody is in there I head straight for the AOE mob in the middle. The result is that any caster, APS, Sin, or Archer in the room will be dead within 30 seconds, and I usually won't even get a charm-tick.

    The only characters who seem to stand a chance are other Barbs or non-APS BMs. Everybody else seems to follow the same basic pattern: I enter, they spark, I trigger the AOE boss, they panic, I watch them die, I pass the room.

    I suppose they've never heard of pots... though it does explain why I hear so many people complaining about room 47 as being oh-so-impossible without do-alls nowadays.

    I assume op is talking about room 14 which I suicide anyways if I get that room the trip back to room 1 is worth not waiting on a non-sin to possibly die anyways...I can't say I've ever met anyone in the other one, I carry 4 do-alls for that room

    I died in that room on this char once to an archer. Demon spark and claws hurted x'D

    If you're an archer there is guaranteed way to win:

    Activate the heal mob and stand in the ball. The healing will prevent your charm from ticking and the ball makes you difficult to see and to select. When someone enters you just demon spark and stun them and use normal shots / metal. They are too confused by the ball and will just die. Best of all sins will be destealthed the instant they enter.

    It sounds cheesy but it always works. I've done this literally for a couple of years and have never lost with this strategy.

    Problem with these 14 and 34 rooms are not about survival, but about to find some1 to fight there. I get it in cube very often, but these rooms are empty. There should be an option, after 10 minutes you could continue or so.

    The OP was talking more about when one enters the room, however. In which case, you could still HP into the center, **** off the mob, and from there it's just a tanking contest based on class and gear. -_-

    Recently I've noticed that when someone uses Do-Alls in the room, the NPC spawns within about 30 seconds of their leaving. o.O Last night I waited the full 20 mins to see if the NPC would spawn, and it did not (which is a common myth I think... if you wait the 20 mins, you're boned and you may as well restart). But someone had doalled with about a minute left on my timer, and I noticed the NPC too late - it despawned about 5s after my timer was up and I had to restart. XD

    Because, sadly, people are afraid of content thats not FC, BH or Nirvana. I have seen so many people say they are scared to run the cube, because of the "difficulty" and the "PK".
    Its hardly real-PvP since you lose nothing, and difficult is relative and you lose nothing from failing a room/dying either. Just sad the content people miss out on....while complaining theres no content =P

    I agree so many people in my faction don't do the cube, I used the cube to lvl my sin on RT from 90-92 because there were so many sins for FC I couldn't get a squad without waiting 2-3 hours (people wanted my sin a 92 cause of sage bp) and hey takes 10-30 mins to do the cube most of the time (depending on the rooms) and at 90+ mil xp and a book page ftw.

    I use do all cards to pass those rooms because nobody is ever inside. Sometimes i wait a few minutes but i have never luck. Once i waited entire 20 minutes without anyone enter the room. I thought i can pass after 20 minutes but the infight quest just runs out and im still stuck in the room unless i kill myself or use cards.

    There are somethings you can do to increase your survivability before clicking on the die that teleports you to that pk enabled room and others. As an archer...

    - Make sure you have full sparks (use genie skills or attack mobs to build chi if available)

    - use a Dew of God Protection apothecary item (it says it lasts 30 secs, but the description is wrong and actually last well over 2 min) - this will help you avoid being 1-shot killed.

    - wait 2 min until your apoth. is out of cool down

    - use Elven Alacrity for anti stun buff, quickly followed by D.blazing arrow buff to get 3 full sparks again and additional weapon damage.

    Ok - now you are ready to click the die and tele in (click on the die just as the buff is finished casting because EA only lasts 10 secs or you can skip the blazing arrow buff).

    Upon tele-ing in, since you have your anti stun buff on and shield to absorb damage - you won't be stun-able or 1-shot-able by a single enemy. You can use an IG and will give at least 12 secs to live and kill who ever it is (16 secs if you can chain use AD). Since you've used Elven Alacrity earlier on, your hasted speed is to help you position yourself in the manner you want to kill the target (distance wise - not smexy posses =D). You can use Wings of grace instead of elven alacrity if you are bad at timing the usage of IG as WoG does last longer and gives 30% damage reduction for 15 secs. Whatever way you want to kill the target is up to you. Or you can pay the cards to pass.

    If you think you can't win against that target for what ever reason- FORCE LOG :)

    Actually, not even that. I have 5k HP (at least with my purge weapon on) and I just tested this in 34. Tanked its damage for a good 10 minutes without my charm ticking once (though it came really close). So yeah... wow o.o

    As a Cleric I'm doing exactly the same tactic as Astarelle; I hide in the ball healing myself, and seal anyone entering.

    As someone said there is never noone to fight with. I wait in those rooms if I have seen many people in prevous rooms and kill myself and start again if I cube is empty.

    Couple of times I have been blacklisted by some cube adventures who got mad when I killed them. They pm with quite colorful language and says that they were going to pay do all cards and I'm an idiot because I killed them as I wanted to pass the room. b:surrender Even from one member of faction who used to kill other people for fun in cube b:laugh

    As I always say when I apologize to people in that room... room 34 turns everyone into an ****. >_<

    It's fine if you want to use do-alls, but don't expect everyone to use them. Some people are not interested in spending that much extra money just to get their exp. Some of us also run the cube as their only good source of money, so using do-alls would be counterintuitive.

    Last night when I was in 34, standing in the ball, three people came in. The first was a barb, so I couldn't kill him. He eventually doalled and left. The second was a veno I had seen before, an average-geared person with a glacial walker... didn't have the heart to attack her. She doalled as well. And yet, the NPC didn't spawn. o.O I could've sworn, on more than one occasion yesterday, someone doalled and the NPC spawned a minute later. What's going on with these rooms??

    On the bright side, the third person to enter was another archer from a prominent fac on my server, and I + the mob managed to take him out. :P
