Refining transfer and rank gear...

Heyas,

I want to transfer the refines of a piece of bound armor to my rank gear, is it possible ?
I have a doubt because it says "if the source is bound, the target must also be bound", but the rank gear isn't properly said "bound"...

    You actually can bind rank gear if thats what you're worried about (makes them unable to be NPCd). Not sure if it needs it though.

    Actually I just figured it out. You HAVE to bind it before you can transfer the refines (binding charm), otherwize you can't.
    Just wanted to let you guys know in case :)
