Hey ! Here is build that may help you.
    1. 3str each lvl so u can wear the axes class weapons, 1 vitality and 1 agy . This is a common build for barbarian. At high lvl ( 100 ) u can try to reset the points for a personal build . P.S. : this is just personal opinion. tyvm

Besides, if you want to go APS/claw just roll a BM. Barbs with claws are kinda worthless because the only aggro skill they have is autoattack. Claw barbs should just roll BM's so that they actually have skills to play with.

While working on my barb I wrote a nice guide here. It's mainly focused towards PVE tank build, but I did try to make it fairly universal. It's still a work in progress and it's been a while since I really played my barb.

Another good place to look is in the Barb forum and the PWI wiki.

    #'s

^This. Just the minimum stats in dex and str for gear requirements and the rest goes into vit. This is a loved type by manyb:victory

Sylen, i find myself very confortable in PVE being a claw barb.

I can survive much better than a BM having invoke and sunder + solid shield

And after CC nerf im actually stealing quite some aggro with my clawbarb full VIT +5 deicide from BMs

    ROFL!?

Clawbarbs are just as usefull as BM's, because APS bm's CAN'T use skills if they want to keep their DPS going, not to mention that the barb's buffs are 10x more usefull then the BM's buffs. Giving extra phys attack doesn't help the barb does it? *sarcasm mode off*

But....i'll leave you in your ignorance

to get on topic, when i started this game i rolled a barb, i checked my gears requirements for every 10 levels of gear ( i.e. 40/50/60/70 etc.) i added the str+dex for it asap ( helps with question quite a bit ) and then put the rest into vit.

I even seen people go for high dex barbs just to make questing even faster, then restat the dex out at 90 or something to get the extra vit for running instances ( like FC's and stuff nowadays )
    I'm famous! i'm on ecatomb

Do you understand that there is this magical ability to switch weapons that allow you to, you know, equip hammers/axes at the press of a button, allowing you to use any skill available in the barbarian arsenal? It really amazes me when I read comments about how claw barbarian should roll a BM if they want to use claws. You might as well say all barbarians should roll BMs as apparently there is no difference to them....

Be against high APS all you want, but at least try and grasp basic ingame mechanics before you call an entire class useless (yes, the entire class, as barbs with the ability to use claws can do EVERYTHING clawless barbs can do). Please don't suggest losing 100 vit makes you unable to use skills. Besides, barbs always hitting on bosses/mobs will offset any difference claw mastery vs poison fang creates, making their damage quite equal, if not higher.

That being said, clawless barbs are definitely the way to go until you get a good chunk of coins to spend on your gear. They're really the only way to play in the beginning anyway, nobody was advising the OP to go claw...

(I have a barb, lvl 100 celestial sage, before anyone says "what does a psychic know about barbs anyway?")

There is a lot of good advice on the barb forums, some of it a bit dated, but that doesn't matter much, the game is basically the same mechanically at low-mid levels as it always was. Taking a couple hours to read through some of it will save you many more hours of confusion or frustration.

Ignore this talk of "aps" and "claw barbs" until after level 90 at least. If you do plan to go claw build and want to save a few gold on reset you can build STR & DEX for current level axes as you go and just save the unused points, but I would advise statting VIT and resetting at 99+ when the gear to be high aps is actually available.

Bear in mind, the difference in cost between gear for an old school barb and a claw barb is several hundred million coins. A good claw barb with nice gear can pull delta without a problem, but a vit barb can do it with less refines and shards. Farming delta as a barb can be a good way to afford the transition from vit to claw build.

Claw barbs are awesome, the only thing they just can't do quite as well as an equal geared VIT barb is pull catapults in TW.

another good trick is to buy the next level up of weapons and armour/gear, and save level points till you can use them. im not a barb, but this works for a veno, and is one of the tricks my son uses, who does have a barb.
