Bi-Weekly Events? A Proposal for the GM's

To the GM's,

In light of the current dismal event participation, as well as the fact that many people simply cant make it to a weekday event...maybe its time to make some events BI-WEEKLY.

For example: Maybe make City of Abominations on Wednesday & Sunday nights, and make Dragon Temple on Tuesday & Saturday nights. The event participation would go up, and it just might make some of your dedicated player base happier.

All pros and cons are welcome here, please post your sentiments.
And I will strike down on thee with great vengeance and furious anger...the life you thought you led is gone, and your catshop is on an island surrounded by dinosaurs.

    No.

Same reason as TW is on the weekend. It is there for you to attend. The reason you can't make is because of .... YOU ...

If they remove it, it would be a slap on the face to those who are there regularly. They won't change the TW time to suit the European players, obviously they won't change the weekly event for just .... YOU ...

And if it doesn't fit your schedule, find a sever that may suit your timing better. Maybe .... YOU ... will be able to join those events.

speaking for sanctuary - it wouldnt make any difference what so ever, events would still be dominated by the same people whether it is on wednesday or sunday, etc.

plus on sanctuary most events are full anyways.

Most wouldnt attend no matter what night or how many nights they were offered.

The events arent that fun and unless it offers something someone really wants there is no reason to bother with them.

It's not because YOU are in the perfect timezone to attend them that everyone is.

As I know game is international.

    We take for exemple CoA.

To me it's at 9 pm, to people on west coast, it's at 6 pm. For those overseas, it's more around 3 am their time.

I actually like the idea of the Bi-Weekly events. Both should be in different times so that players everywhere could attend them. Exemple, one CoA at 6 pm west coast time, the other at 6 AM. Everyone would have more of a shot at it, and only "gaming freaks" would try to attend both.
Proud supporter of the new expansion. Sure it has it's share of bugs, like any games. But for a pure farmer/grinder, that's a whole lot of new mobs to go beat up b:chuckle

Well the reason they made 2 new EU servers was so that the people there would have better chances to attend. And I know alot of players don't want to start from scratch on a new server so don't flame me.

Though I do like the idea of having events 2x a week. 2x CoA during 2x drops would be great.

Where I come from, bi-weekly means every other week. So the schedule would actually look like this:

    Week 1 - Events
    Week 2 - Nothing
    Week 3 - Events
    Week 4 - Nothing

But anyways, I don't think that those events should be available more than once a week. Honestly, if you miss the event, it's not PWI's fault, it may not even be your fault, it could be just a conflict of schedule. And a conflict of schedule isn't PWI's responsibility to remedy.

If it's a time zone issue, you can either change to a server with a more appropriate time.
If it's a schedule conflict, you can adjust your schedule accordingly if you want to go that bad.
It it's an issue of player attendance, it'll be the same later on as well.
It it's an issue of not being able to compete, get high level and better gear.

And if you can't, or won't, do any of this, then stop the whining and deal with it.

I recently started playing a private server, and from Wednesday when I started to TW on Saturday, the 4 or 5 active online GMs held random spur of the moment events, ranging from PvP (1v1 / 3v3 / best of class), quiz contests, among others.

Why can't this happen here in a bigger more active game b:surrender

Private servers tend to have GMs that are dedicated to that particular game. The GMs here, unfortunately, are spread too thin. Honestly, I'd love to have random GM events, but that would require the GMs to actually be active in this game.
