Presets and Makeover Scrolls

So, I know how things get screwy when you use a makeover scroll and try to change your character's appearance to another preset, because of how the position of the sliders doesn't change when you click another preset. But if you want to, say, change the type of veno you are, or change the markings on your tideborn's body, will it work or will it also not change?
