Zeal Genie Pulling Question

I know Zeals can pull, but I don't understand how the skill is useful to a ranged class. Since the zeal's skill has such a short range, wouldn't it be more effective to use a regular skill with a longer range to pull the mob?

    this is one instance when the term "luring" would be better

    normally when you use a ranged attack, you will draw aggro from not only the mob you attacked but every mob that's standing near it
    the zeal's starting skill enables you to pull, or rather...lure, a mob without disturbing the ones around it

    unless you're a veno or mystic with a pet that can lure, zeal is the only way to do this
