After reading how butthurt and whiny PWI is it brings me to belief we have the short straw on whiny girls and emo kids, who rage over a instance turning PvP with which 95% of them wont even be affected at all but feel the need to cry their eyes out on the forums.. I really wish i knew Chinese, cause it seems like the changes they bring in cater to their audience which seems like they aim for what's best in the game.. PvP.. Also heard only a handful of players have R9 over there?

As I understand, the stuff needed to make rank9 is not readily available in the boutique like it is here. I believe they only get the ones from TW rewards. Because China are where PW created, developed, started, closest & most influencing community to this game main company / developer.

They whine because they nothing else better to do.
From what I hear, the chinese actually complain about similar things like our players do. (save for pvp related things like sp)
Chinese game = chinese developers = chinese interests
Therefore, anything done to this game is taken from Wanmei's ideas, and possibly few ideas from the chinese community.
The only thing Wanmei cares from us is how much we spend. Our money is worth more than the yuan, and since china isn't allowed to have gambling in mmos, they spend all of their effort making packs for us.
It would be too much effort to take our suggestions and translate them into coherent chinese.
Not sure what you mean on differences.
PWCN and pwi are just about the same. Only the economies, available content, and community are different.

Now that would of been fun if it stayed like that here, i wonder how many R9's would be on the servers & Also how the TW maps would of looked, had they needed to be fought over to fund R9's for faction see still relates to PvP. Crying over a '5k' teleport in which you could farm the 5k off the mobs you kill on the way to the instance entrance.. & if you think 2-5 quests you may have to ask a few high levels to not pk you determines the future of the game you really need to read what your saying because you sound completely moronic right now.Liten Men Tuff0 -

First: 95% of us will be affected if the game dies because no new players are coming and staying in the game. I don't know about you, but I enjoyed questing in SP when I was a newbie. I like going back when I level up a new alt.
Second: I believe that PWCN is P2P so the cashshopping if there is one at all, is minimal. Players there have to work the old fashioned way to level up and get good gear.
Complaining about a stupid management decision is not whining. When you join a PvE server you want a choice about being randomly Pkd, that is quite a reasonable thing to expect.0 -

on a almost serious note, yea ofc all changes we get are made for the chinese players since they just ship over the stuff. and then just hope we will like the same thing they do.

PWCN is not p2p, it's very much f2p like our servers.
The original p2p servers are still running, however, they haven't been updated in forever nor do I think they even have a cashshop.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Well then you should know that the average income in China is way below that of Americans. One of the Mods even said that the mistake about the Duke spam messages was because in PWCN the packs are not popular (players too poor to gamble much, I presume) so the messages don't happen often like they do here.0 -

I can agree with this for the most part...except...
It may not seem like a big deal, but if you are a new player leveling your first character on a PvE server, it will come as quite a shock and annoyance when there is a quest you cannot complete because you are being killed by players. Chances are new players who are PKed time after time while just trying to finish a quest are going to just quit. It's not about whether it is a necessary quest or not.
When you are new and you just know that questing will level you, you do what you can to get the quests done. If the player can't because people are killing him on a PvE server, chances are he is going to quit the game. If he goes on the forums and finds out the reason why they can kill him, he will probably be even more upset about it.
I doubt that the future of PWI is in jeopardy from this change, but people complain because it is more a matter of fairness. It is unfair that low levels have to deal with this when the arena has been closed pretty much since the start of this version (was it open back in 2008 at all? I can't remember.) The arena should just be reopened if nothing else. If we have to put up with this, there is no reason there can't be some exceptions made for people doing quests.0 -

Their income may be lower, however, they compensate by grinding more.
The inflation on their servers comes out to having gold about 8x our prices.
It's just not the fact the servers are older, or that they have more people. They have armies of bots running around and grinding all day long.

Thats not entirely true... There is a game I used to play... The production company claimed to be american and had offices located in california, However that company was owned by a seperate larger company that was a gambling company based out of Las Vegas, and that company was owned by the Original Chinese Game developer company who in the end collected the profits out of Shangai.
The company ended up getting sued for allowing under age american citizens to purchase from there boutique under the US Gambling laws.

Here is the post, it is a MOD but I think KrittyCat has decent communication with Frankie and isn't conjecturing.If you are finished sad-raging, I believe I can explain what happened. The Chinese server has these announcements because fewer people buy their version of packs, and when they do, they advertise with the announcement. When it's brought over to our version, they don't think anything of it, and our marketing people don't catch it right away. Suddenly, Duke begins spamming WC all over again. The GMs notice player displeasure, and get it removed as soon as possible.
Long story short, it's not an issue in China because people aren't crazy about their packs like PWI players are.
Besides, at 8x Gold prices that means they probably spend their coin on stuff that is really essential which means less gambling.
If you have access to PWCN then see how often Duke spams vs here. I would like to know.0 -
There is one more issue that everyone overlooks when discussing this... On those asian servers... Pk is not a big deal. Its rarely done and if it is then it is by certain lvls pking others of that lvl... Most games I play when I go onto an asain server, there is not an option for pvp/pve. They are all pvp.

I think you are right. Asian culture is much much different. It doesn't mean all Asians are goody goody but compared to the US griefers, the percentage difference is huge.
PWE (US) should be given more autonomy since it appears that the CN management have no clue about US culture. It isn't as if the code is that difficult to crack given the numerous highly modified Private servers that I'm sure are manned by only a couple of non-fail programmers.0 -

I took another look in their cashshop, no signs of packs at all.
Not unless you consider the explorer kit and such as pack packs.
They do have red spam, but it seems to be more like gm messages than pack red spam.
In fact, here, take a look at their packs tab.

Took me a while, but after running around in cn arch I finally found a kitty shop with the wildlife pack.
It goes for 2.8 mill a piece.

most of todays playerbase don't even know what PvP meant on this game a few Years ago, now it's just as boring as watching the grass to grow...remember the days where non barb 1on1s last for more then 10 Minutes or something, when you fought your battle miles away from where they started, yes that was PvP, now it's just...guess you get the clueb:scorn[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

See aps work same way here as in pwcn and if they inplement something as dumb as sp they surely will nurf aps in our server cos ours mirror there so all who miss use it start to learn to use ather thing aside of apsb:shutup0
