Problem switching client to firefox from IE

Hey everyone, i used to use Internet Explorer to run my game but i switched to firefox and i can't get my client to connect to the internet. i uninstalled and reinstalled the game but it didn't fix the problem. after the main file downloaded and i verified the files and the client popped up, it was still telling me to update the server connection. however the start button was lit so i clicked it and the game started fine and let me choose my server but when i logged in it told me that my client version is too low, and that it needs to be updated. i can reasonably attribute this to the fact that my client is still trying to run off of internet explorer and not mozilla firefox. so if someone could give me a quick how to on how to switch my client over, that would be super amazing. by the way ive already tried fixing internet explorer and theres no hope there. so yeah, i just need help switching my client's internet preference from IE to Firefox please. *also my computer is a lenovo laptop with windows 7 if that needs to be known.

    your browser has nothing to do with the game clent what so ever, the launcher yes as its internet explorer based, but the game client itself no. so, unless you ran some sort of IE remover script (which would also disable 90% of windows itself cuz its integrated), its an issue with your connection, try a manual patch if the launcher cant update, most of the patch files are downloadable without using the launcher, on the downloads page the two most recent patches are listed a little bit down the page.

    I'd suggest, even though you're using firefox, do all your internet explorer and directx updates, since the launcher uses IE to show the ads/etc, and most of the buttons, its best to keep internet exploder mostly up to date.. also check IE's proxy and security settings, as the launcher will use those for its connection to the update servers.

    You should have Internet Explorer 8 or 9 installed on your system, javascript enabled and Flash installed too.

    You can use any other browser that you want for websites and normal use, but IE is needed for the game launcher and some things in game.
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

    Hmm, panda, you musta been busy, you usually go into the details like i did, and ask for a dxdiag readout.. or did i pretty much cover it for you :)

    is there any way to change the displaying browser in the launcher? I'm totally pissed off becouse of internet explorer, last time I used it was 2 years ago when I downloaded chrome...

    No there isn't, but it's really not affecting your gaming experience, it is just for launching the game.
