X Rated Names

I was looking for the rules reguarding this, if someone makes a name: like many have, that are not appropreate for young gamers.
I see them all the time and i thought they were agaist the rules....! Is it that someone has to report it before they get in trouble?
Not realy clear on that.
Im asking because my son has a toon named ~removed~, kinda military joke, will he get ban if someone reports it as offencive? If so ill just delete it.

Funny thing is, most of those names were made up by the kids.

Good thing mommy and daddy never check up on that new homework computer they put in the kids room.

that's nowhere near as bad as the stuff I've seen ingame. ~removed~ I've seen factions with ~removed~ as the name.. the list goes on and on..

note I'm actually 24, these names annoy me, because I'm old enough to know what they mean CLEARLY

I even asked about my own forum sig because I didn't want to offend people, but others have no sense of respect for this game and it's all *** references to some. The state of the players in the game makes me sick

I have character named as "SukaKurvaNah", in russian it's 3 really bad words, b:chuckle but who cares, not many russians here. its all just for fun.

btw most of foxes in game are lesbians.

Bad stuff happeneds but this is not a forum about that stuff, its about vulgar name. Pls if you have nothing to add to the topic don't post.

Yes, they can make you delete the characters. Yes, it is against the rules. Yes, someone has to report and screenshot it first and submit a ticket. No, nobody really bothers. And yes, enforcement of the rule is therefore pretty rare.

yes, I know the meaning of suka, one of my friends got an earfull about it from someone ingame, it does not matter if you cannot read it, it matters if SOMEONE can. I've seen in other forums "**** madre" (for those that speak spanish, do not say it) and yes, it's spanish, and it's vulgar

and there are 3 factions filled with Russians on DW

according to the TOS, you must be 13 to create an account, and hence to play the game. if by the age of 13 you can't cope with stupid juvenile sexual innuendo, you have issues greater than the character names in a video game. (also, you'd be permanently scarred by some of the things that get said in world chat. wait, fully mature adults might that.)

To answer the OP, yes they will fix it. Although what they do is fairly inconsistent.

In some cases they make the player change their name. In other cases they just ban them for a few hours or a few days and then they are playing with that name again. I don't understand this inconsistency at all. ANY offense like that should be subject to the name change rule, not just a temp ban.

Protecting kids is only viable to a point. po-rn? Yes, easily stopped, its hard to tell someone po-rn in text and images are easily filtered for the most part. Violence? Not so easy, but you can limit exposure. "bad words"? Not a ****ing chance. If you go online, you dont expect it to be all rosy and nice.

PWE is liable for EVERYTHING said on their servers, it is their ToS and service that needs to be enforced

the kids out there playing this game? nearly all of them will eventually get involved in sexual activity, whether they hear about it online or not. if we're all of us really, really lucky, not all of them will be involved in bloody violence.

I'll put it simple: it's a military joke, like you said. it's not vulgar, it's not offensive, it can literally be taken a few ways, no admin in their right mind would find it to be against the ToS

He should not delete his toon. If GMs ban for it, it wouldn't be a perm ban and they would most likely allow him to change the name afterward. Otherwise submit a ticket.

This happened to a pretty famous player on my server. Got a sin to like lvl 102, all geared up, and it got banned for the name out of the ****ing blue. I don't know what they did, whether they submitted tickets or not, but the sin's name is now changed so no more problems.

as for me if i report someone for breaking TOS i would say its depending on my mood

a Barb was named Slutpuppie, PWI made him change his name. His gears still says made by Slutpuppie though
....Also this Barb is farming a warsoul weapon like 30% done -.- waste
