how to destroy private's badge?

i got this stupid badge long ago by accidence but it takes up room in my bank.... how to get rid of it forever?

    reach the next rank, and you'll get an option to turn it in in exchange for the next rank's ring. that turn-in process has two steps, giving up the ring you've got and accepting the next one. only do the first step.

    the private's badge is rank II, so you'll need rank III. for that, you need to be level 50 and have 2500 reputation.
