That Perfect World Global Tournament

there is something i do not understand about the tournament.....
so we are choosing best players to go to tournament in beijing....
and common-sensibly, PWI's goal is to win, right?
what i dont understand about the tournament is that, if the GMs who chose you wanted you to win, and they have the ability to do nearly everything in game, e.g. sending you good gears, giving you orbs, making rank 9 gears cheaper....
if GMs can do all these, why do we need to go over all those busy work of choosing players and stuffs. because IMO players' ability dont really contributes to how you can win tournaments. if you want to win, why not just give your players good gears, give them over powered gears so they can win, GMs can do all these right? and so are GMs from other countries, they can just secretly sell rank 9 +12 gears to their players, then they are guaranteed to win, right?
so to summarize what i had just said.... if you want to win, and GMs have to knowledge to change 'numbers', why not just give your players good gears? Lets say you want QuickClaw n Spliffany to win, why not just make cheap orb sales, like $10 for a +12, they will buy it, then they become overpowered. why do you instead have to go 'choose' players instead of 'making' them. because the former one, they had not achieved gear perfection yet. the latter one, you can make give them the ultimate gears, which have higher chance of winning the beijing tournament.

everyone in the international tourny get to pick the gears. When everyone have ultimate gears, its the player's pvp skills and team work that'll determine the winner, hence why we had our own tourny to determine which team to send.0

uH, NEWS FLASH, THEYRE ALL DOING IT IN "STANDARD" GEAR.
Ninja edit:
Lolcapslock, and by standard I mean everyone can choose the same stuff.0 -
My reading of OP's post is...
We can win easy... let's cheat ( as in we get OP gear and they don't)
I'm glad it won't work that way.0 -
Yes everyone will have the same gear
and our team will have the ability to rechoose class and culti. A fact they should have announced before our tournament.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
If gears weren't the same it would also be unfair because (I believe) different versions have different gear. Correct me if I'm wrong, but seeker r9 is already out in some versions....[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thank you Forsakenx for the picture. b:thanks0 -
