Those who would be leveling your version of "the fast way" wouldn't take days. Try hours. As it is, it takes maybe 5-8 solo plvl runs (with maybe 1 or 2 fulls, the rest BR->end) just with an assassin to make level 80, which might take "days", and not many, that's for sure, depending on how quickly the player wants to be 80.

As far as how to get there, PW has already played it's cards. There's no sense in anyone having a high and mighty or pissy attitude anymore about how others attained a certain level. It would be a complete waste of time and frustration. Just worry about playing your own way and whatever way you find fun, and giving **** to PW for pushing people to endgame so quickly while having virtually non-existent content development to retain players who play for more than just endgame e-peen PVP.

I just love doing BH69, and the cleric doesn't know what purify is, or where the bosses are, or anything, for that matter... Seriously... I've run into that several times now, and it's not just some cleric who just hit 80, it's like an 87 or 89 cleric. >_>

    b:surrender I've recently solo healed Pole and Nob on THIS current cleric (note how I'm not even 69 yet, a friend needed them for her bh), and actually had no problem ('cept for the veno dying from aoe during amp). Reading that just makes me...sigh and command+w. ;__;

The new way of leveling really is kind of killing the game. I run into more and more...eh..."special" peoples now more than ever before. Thankfully my fac has a rather serious gamer in it that loves leveling the old way and is very good at teaching the plvlers exactly HOW to play their class. =P With proper instruction, a friend of mine leveled a barbarian to 70 in 2 days, and he's actually an excellent tank, and has proper gear, because of the teaching he got.

I find most of the fast LVL'ers are well funded.

i find it funny how ever to see them in the lower FB/Bh'es running from mobs as they are

...Whenever someone mentions higher levels running from low level mobs, I ALWAYS remember this one 80+ veno I met in cube room 4 (on my own veno) ...Aggro'd the whole room, then her herc died and she was killed from mass interrupts. Must have ticked her charm 20+ times XD I just sat there and watched since she stole my kills.

new players should not power lvl or see the FC from inside until lvl 80.
Older players can do it because they know the mechanics of the game and can adapt faster to their chars.

mistakes happen and players do make mistakes sometimes coz of their fault sometimes coz of stress and mistakes of others, like when we expect other player like bm to stun and he doesnt and than we die for example aoe healing..

but nooooo, u all frustrated no lifes have to automticaly call us noobs and idiots that dont know how to play

i recommend to most of you to go out, press alt and f4 and come back when u chill

True, mistakes do happen, even to older players, who have experience and have done the runs countless times.
Now imagine a lvl 80 newbie, who doesn't know what to do, not because he's an idiot, but because he's inexperienced. All the knowledge he was supposed to get by 80, he totally skipped it by powerleveling.
the problem is there. How can I trust a cleric who doesn't know purify by 80? How could you trust me to tank if I didn't level Flesh Ream "because it does little damage" like I was once told by a 90 barb?

I call no one a noob. I try my best to give them small tips and pointers if I know something they might not. It's up to them if they take it.

b:chuckle Even when I squad with someone that I KNOW powerleveled and that I KNOW doesn't know how to play their class, and I...say for example, die repeatedly, I don't get mad at them, I never do. =) The only one in this thread that I believe needs to chill...is you.

On another note, Daedallus brings up an excellent point. There's a difference between mistakes and inexperience. By 80+ you should know how to play your class, in and out. Being 80+ with the knowledge of being lvl1 does not a good player make.

I've been playing since 08' (but only got up to level68, due to irl), and my earlier experience on this character in bh69 before I've even done my fb has shown me that it's a lack of experience in today's players that's causing such a bad overall view of power-levelers. Learning is key. Some, very rarely, turn out to be excellent players. Others, more often than not, end up adding to the "special" victims of FCC. XP

When the old cows were little, their lvls were little too... Now the "little" players are around lvl 80 and don't know the game-mechanics. b:surrender
I try to be kind to them, but when there are lvl 79 clerics who don't purify at bh59 bosses, IH squishies when they get hit by melee mobs and their hp is at half.(if they even heal at all Oo;) and they don't listen to the feedback and tips the squad kindly gives them I'm losing my patience. b:surrender
The same counts for barbs who don't flesh ream or don't go tigerform at all, for DD's who don't watch their damage on bosses they can't tank, for venomancers who don't know how to lure, for seekers who don't aoe/use skills when stances proc, for mystics who don't use their vegetables or heal, but DD instead and then claim they didn't have mp to heal. b:surrender

That way the chance for me to find even more noobs in room 14 and 34 cube is a lot greater... XD

And if i could get to kill a lvl100 sin, it would raise a lot my self esteem (even tough a lvl8 cleric beating a sin is unlikely and he must be very dumb to allow such) XD.

2 examples both on my cleric ( lvl 79 in bh 59 )

    - the supposed to be tanker( so I thought ) was a lvl 70's seeker. His hp starts dropping really fast, and I'm having trouble keeping him alive during mob fighting.
I spy his gear and he has nothing ( literally 0 gear ) except his sword.
I ask him why and he says he had sold his lvl 60 gear to buy lvl 70 one, but had run out of cash, so he was doing consecutive bh's till he got the cash....
Needless to say he died quite often.

    - In another bh 59, the veno wasn't luring... I whispered her asking what was wrong and she replied she doesn't have a Zeal b:surrender
I whispered her back and tried to explain how to use her pet to lure ( send in pet, let him hit boss a couple of times, stow pet, call pet back).
She yells at me... I know what I'm doing don't try to F***** tell me how to do my job.

These are 2 of so many examples why some don't bother to teach plvl noobs.

On the other hand there are those who appreciate the tips and advice this "old cow" has to offer, and thank goodness for that b:victory

I always thought LEARNING how to play a class was the way to have fun. Naive me...

Seriously, we all know there's very little end-game content, why would you wanna get to that point faster? Why get to the point where you stand around begging for anything even remotely entertaining to do?

I came back in mid-june, after a year off from playing an Archer to 100 and a Barb to 80, just to wish someone a happy birthday. Started playing a Seeker while waiting for them to log on and I liked it.

I just got to 80. In that time I went from BM wannabe to full fledged debuffer and damage-spiker and I love it. I love how much damamge I can do to mobs and bosses, and allow others to do more as well. I feel active and useful when I play, because I know how to play my class. Heart(-Mind-Soul) Shatter > Minuet > Waltz; I make sure all of those are on, depending on the situation, because that's when my class really shines. I have a build that can tank pretty easily, and when I'm just DDing, I know how to manage my agro and make the tank and healer's job easier. When I do take agro (30k Arme Nier crit...), I won't even need the cleric to heal me, because I have 3 pots that dont share the same cooldown. Basically, I pull my own weight and make the team stronger, not weaker.

I had great teachers and friends, and more importantly, I listened to them when they talked about their class and how they went about playing them. All of that gave me good experiences to draw from while playing and trying to figure out the best way to go about things. If I fail, I take it as a sign that I need to hang back and find out what I need to do to adapt. More hp? Defense? Damage? Skill combinations?

I don't think if I had powerleveled, I would've learned all those things, or at least, the learning curve from having to learn it all from 80 on would be a steep, almost vertical, one and that puts more weight on the team.
Already being savvy about the game makes it alot easier, and you can powerlevel and still be a good player but otherwise, odds are youre gonna be weak. Weak skills (both player and class); weak tactics; weak survivability; weak knowledge.

Learning how to play your class, single and squad, pve and pvp, is the only fun you're gonna have. Being a certain level isn't fun; it's what you're able to do, then, that is. It's exhilerating when things go wrong, but everyone knowing how to react and bearing more weight as others recover, allows the team to survive and achieve their goal.

Sorta followed my thread of thoughts there, hope it makes some sense...anyway.

I didn't vote because my answer isn't an option. My post says it all.

It's not the people that level up fast and then have no knowledge of the game that irritates me, because let's face it people, this game is not fun to level in the normal way anymore.

I remember having to do justice orders on my cleric for exp, at level 60-ish such a thing got me maybe 5 to 8% an hour. It was tedious, sure, but it's not like I had any better alternatives after I did all my quests for that level.
If I were to level an alt like that right now? I'd start punching kittens (and then just get a set of hypers).
The game just speeds up the leveling process and players go with it. I don't find it respectable when it comes to pleveling in FF, but whatever, I can live with it.

What does annoy me would be the stubborn people that just generally suck at what they do, and when you give them advice they're immediately like ''Don't tell me what to do, asshole''. We've always had a fair share of these people, it's just that the pleveled ones are a bit more obvious now.

Let's see... I'll be quite direct and harsh there:

    - If they are totally desperate for levels (especially as a 1st character ever) and they can't believe PWI is already very easy to level in: I shrug at them, they better not be in PWI.

    - If they use powerleveling and brag about the result, like if they did any effort (paying or not for such means nothing to me): they are complete idiots, keep them far away from me, thank you.

    - If they still cannot play their class and are laughed at for it: Allow me to laugh at them too. They asked for it, as they did not plan in the long term.

    - If they are broke and QQ about it (especially cash) after they intensely pay for powerleveling: same as above.

    - If they are alts and already know how to perfectly play as their new class (quite unbelievable, imo) and don't QQ or brag: No problem to me. I just don't want to hear if their bragging, if they ever do that.
Maintenance time. Please choose a line:
    - When is it over? OMG I need my fix!! *super spazzing*
    - Fix the damn bugs, dammit! I'm so angry! I'll quit!!
    - New codes out there? I like free stuff~ *wink*
    - When will we get new content? QQ
    - Will we get sales? I got a ton of gold to spend.
    - I'm bored, I'll create a useless thread to annoy Opkorock.
    - *Incessant poking on Sweetiebot* Fun~

im too over addicted to pwi makes me keep an eye on my seeker 24/7

but seriously ppl can reach 80,the level you mentioned in like a day if they buy FC/FF/FCC dragoon pulls.
there are too many alts from out rich old players so probably its normal if you see someone reaches 80 in a very short time(costly of course)
can also lvl to 80 with buying zhen pq plvl, then FC for several timesb:byeb:bye

not gonna like the person if he plvls way too many of his/her alts just for fun

I think you have mental issues.

If you go from level 1 to 101 doing goonz and have no freaking clue how to play your character at all, you are going to be nothing but mistakes in everything you do.

You've basically made the best limestone farmer there is in the game.

And you're dead wrong, I remember when I was 19 and I had to do FB19 with 4 venos and a Cleric. I can guarantee you that 99% of powerlevelers would totally fail in that situation, and give up 'because it's too hard'.

This game has gone down hill a long way, and goonz glitch and powerleveling nubs who have never played through the low levels is just making it that much worse.

Why don't you press Alt F4 and go to crayola.com until you're past the 13 year old age restriction for this game?

me: ._. STA decreases the max hp by like 20% or so...

^checked just now and it's 16%, but whatever, I'm not an archer after all... x_X I was close.
fists he used were gorenex vanity +5 his bow was fcc bow (gold) +6
I wonder if he's powerlvld or just plain stupid... .-.

EDIT: hungry forum eating my post... .-.
In a way I kind of dislike this archer fist craze for the reason demonstrated in this post. it's like the vast majority of them decide not to learn how to play their archer properly, instead going into the FIST FOR ERRTHANG mentality. They shouldn't be fisting the mobs ffs b:surrender

i dont care about people plvling. you know why? because I know when i am playing with someone if they suck or not. and if they do, ill make sure i dont play with them again. that way, i dont have to worry about their sucky butt.

had a lvl 92 archer helping in bh59 today...
    -fistfighting running mobs
-fistfighting the guards at the vallies
-shooting boomer mobs from afar and dragging them into squad this way
-failing each time to grab the boss in time. (because really, you can't just poke it first and then demon spark...)

At last boss we had this conversation:
me: Why don't you start with STA on bosses :o ?
    <silence>
    he: With STA?
    me: yes..
    <silence>
he: Not sure what is STA?
    me: Oo Sharpened Tooth Arrow..?
    he: Fists are more potent
    he: Do much more damage
me: ._. STA decreases the max hp by like 20% or so...
