Barb for PvP

Would a sage barb be effective in PvP, or would I have to go demon in the future if I'd want to pvp efficiently?? b:puzzled

Depends what you mean by PvP. If you just mean 1v1, then I really don't know which is better. But if you want to TW, I would heavily favor sage. The chi skill is great in TW when you're constantly dying and need a way to quickly build chi. I also personally prefer sage barbs for group pvp because of their hp buff.

Probably want Demon for pvp option but be warned on a PVE server most of the squishy fishy rule the road.

why you ask? because they didn't have to worry about the risks you get on a PVP server. so once there 80+ they click it on and if your not ranked out or geared up you you'll get ganked by a squishy fishy

PVP on a PVE server is different to say the least.

For 1v1 PvP I would suggest demon. However, it also depends on your preferences. If you like having insane hp and the tankability of a........5 aps sin, go with sage. If you like dishing out extra damage, go with demon. Barbs tend to have a low damage output, so demon helps in 1v1 PvP. However, in group PvP, such as TW, sage would probably fare better due to the increased hp and stuff, but in 1v1 sage would probably not perform as well. While the increased hp is useful, most 5 aps classes can go through a barbs massive hp in a few seconds. That's where dealing extra damage can be useful, so that if you stun them you have a chance in actually killing them. Of course, this is just in general. I'm sure a lot of sage barbs can perform exceptionally in 1v1, and some demon barbs can perform just as well as sages in TW. Also note that I'm a demon barb, so I may be slightly biased, and that I do not know the other advantages of going sage other than the tankability.

I've seen demon claw barbs with aps gear destroy sage barb rank 9.

when i get attacked by a sin, he needs to tank +10 zerk nirvy hammers and eat up treu 26k hp, most sins are not able to do this

You certainly gave me trouble on my BM... 9.4k zerk crit arma freaking hurts lol

I wish we coulda fought again once I got some better gear, but, you know =P Can't really do that now haha

well, you old SOB you were always hard to kill, lol. I remember having to time/chose my attks wisely to take you down in TW and not actually see "Resist Resist" or 3 digit numbers coming out of you b:chuckle b:kiss

Sage becasue 10% more hp in tiger form beats the hell out of insane crit rates higher spike damage and full tiger damage.

sorry i have been sage, and had nearly all my sage skills

i went demon after they released that item that would let you change.

and i can say, and i experienced sage as well as demon to the fullest

that demon is the best path to take, even if you want to be a killer tank, demon is still better then your * lvl 10 * skills

you can be sage all you want, but a sage with lvl 10 skills will still be less good then a demon wtih lvl 11 skills

i would say demon,

note* if you go sage for the chi skill,, thats a waste, Demon HP buff gives 40 chi per pop and is spammable

actually is 35 and u will love it 3 casts and u get a spark in 30 seconds u go from 0 to full chi b:dirty and ppl in squad also gets 20 chi per cast

Skippy is my fav barb b:dirty He knows what he's doing so I would take weight to his advice. I never really played a barb, but based on what i know of sage and demon skills, I'd say demons have the upperhand when it comes to 1v1 pvp.

Its kinda hard not getting nearly killed in a few hits from a mage class... So hope those don't gank you lol but good luck and try to pick fights with melee lol or repeat stun lock if you can, and hope you've gotsome dex points
