hi clerics!

I have a tiny little question:

When you are in a squad, in a dungeon (or fighting a boss) and you are the cleric spamming IH on the tank, there is some way to know what the hell is going on with the boss? I mean, can you see its HP bar without switching targets?

Sometimes you have time to switch the target, debuff, or whatever and comeback to the IH, but what do you do when you just can't? There is some trick, UI thingy or something?

I used to have "Assit Attack" on a hotkey so I could just quickly check HP/debuff/whatnot (also for TW, but that's unrelated). When going back to the tank, I just clicked the name on the squad list. I also kept my list on the lower L of the screen for this reason.

In the event that the boss is the sole thing in the visible area (like Nirvy, for example) you can just hit tab also.

Welcome to the world of cleric, where you get people screaming at you to rez them while you are doing multiple things.
Most of the time it's people auto-attacking.

For this reason it helps to toss the tank lead, that way he is at the very top of your squad list. If someone else insists on having lead (fb tabber, for instance) then always know where your tank is on the squad list.

I also position myself and my camera to seperate individual characters.

Lastly, holding shift to click through characters to target the boss helps. Same with the tab button.

    Thanks guys for the replies!

I'll have to try your tricks...

I need more practice, I'm kinda new to mmorpgs so I have a lack of the reflexes needed (lol I pick the wrong class I know hahaha), but (so far) I never caused any squad wipe, usually when I make a mistake I'm the only one that ends up dead hahaha, it's that good or bad luck for a cleric? b:chuckle

With time you'll get the reflexes you'll need since you'll adapt more and more to each situation i bet. Also a good tip is to use Plume Shell whenever you think you're about to die, from example getting 'heal aggro'.

I also think there's a way to put a hotkey to switch between the members that you target, though I'm not sure if it's more efficient than to just click on the member.

This: I'll throw plume shell up at a moments notice...including for enemies with AOE's as well.

There's no way to. The only situation I can think of needing what you ask for OP is during FF when you get ppl that won't tell you when to activate. Best idea is to stack with IH and target boss. If aggro switches and someone dies, tell them maybe they should tell you when to activate. This is also one of the reasons so many noob clerics spam chromatic heal.

well I don't need it but sometimes I want to know, specially when I team up with players of my own level and I have to, literally, hold down the IH hotkey to keep them alive lol and the fight takes so long...

I asked this (and I probably should have said it in my first post ;) because I recently discover that if you click on the little button(?) next to your own HP bar (and MP) you can see the HP (and MP) of your mates above their heads on the screen but it doesn't work with mobs unless you target them lol I tough that maybe there is something you can do to make it work...

    @MerseDeska and SerenityCNB:

Plume shell is a great skill... that I never use b:surrender just now (level 60) I started to try it and level it b:chuckle
