Demon/Sage skills

I know when i get to choose demon/sage, but their is 1 thing i dont know,when i get the skill book things are they activated when you use the skill or do you have to do the spark and use the skill to activate whatever the bonus is on it? Yes i know im only lvl70 and have a long way to go till i get 89, but its just something i have been wandering for a while.

    It's included when you use the skill. You'll see a border around the actual skill in your skill window and when you place it on your hotkey bar.

    You have the book in your inventory, go to the skill trainer (the special one in heaven/hell) and pay your coin and spirit to learn the skill.
    That eats the book.

    You now have the skill as described by the book (well, mostly - skill descriptions are always a bit prone to interesting translations in this game) Put it on your skillbar and use it as any other skill, when you use it it eats mana and sparks and so on just like the non demon/sage version.
